Lexx started out as four TV movies, "I Worship His Shadow", "Super Nova",
"Eating Pattern", and "Giga Shadow".

Lexx generally falls into the category of an adult-only show and was never
intended to be for family or kids' viewing. Its 3rd season is almost upon
us. The original 4 movies were broken up into an 8-episode season 1. Season
2 had around 20 episodes, I believe, and season 3 had 13 shot.
Lexx is one of those shows that you either love it or hate it. It's an "in
your face", "messes with your mind" kind of show. There was one episode that
showed a grizzled, fat, has-been Captain (in familiar yellow top and black
pants), sitting at a table alone, drunk out of his gourd. *8^>
The series is good, but you have to watch the episodes in order, or you
won't get the story at all. It uses a story arc, as B5 did, but with some
subtleties. One episode dared to spend the better part of it with a
completely bored crew, who had been travelling for so long (with no
encounters of any sort) that they ran out of anything interesting to do. And
the idea worked. It was funny.

And what about the flashback to Kai's life as a light opera? This was
not just a couple of lines out of Pirates of Penzance, or Sideshow Bob
doing a few songs from Pinafore. This was a whole episode of original
(as far as I could tell) light opera.
Whatever you think of Lexx, it does things differently, as B5 did, and
you have to credit that.

Personally, I don't think LEXX has any sexual content. Just innuendoes.

Oh, so you think it was just innuendo when they showed the manager of the
brothel boinking the robot head?
