I was thinking. Unlike ER, TNT has an exclusive contract on the
reruns for B5. Or maybe they don't...

When they made the "exclusive contract" they were buying the reruns to
the first FOUR seasons, with the syndication rights to year 5
negotiated later. If perhaps by some fluke in the legal department
the contract for year 5 didn't have an "exclusive" stipulation, you,
or rather WB, could syndicate the season 5 reruns to local independent
stations, like ER. Difference being they'd have to run it once or
twice a week or strip it daily and have it get old after 1 month.

Of course this is all speculation. But wouldn't it be ironic if the
only B5 they couldn't keep down where the ones they originally funded?

Listen, we don't have to try to kill TNT. Okay?

The B5 reruns expire on TNT around fall 2001, if I remember correctly.

True, but it's not likely that removing B5 reruns from TNT would kill TNT;
they've got quite a lot of other programming, after all...
