Does anyone know what will happen after TNT airs ep 13? Will they rerun
the series of 13, or will Crusade just fade tastefully to black with
the final Babylonian Productions logo?

Most likely, I suspect we'll have to wait for the Sci-Fi network to
pick it up. TNT stinks!

Well, it's OBVIOUS someone doesn't know anything about what happens
when the names of the dark lords are spoken.. ;)

Besides, he's already there, and he and Jane are doing quite well,
thank you.

Incidentally... did anyone else have nightmares for days after reading "The

But it was prophesied right here in the Book of Ngryth (1732 Greenwich
Edition) that was to have occurred in 1864. The "Big C" in Atlanta
thing, not the replay of Crusade.

Am I missing something? I've used Lovecraft short stories for light
reading before bed. It's not a brag, maybe it would be more fun to be
scared by fiction. I've just never gotten into Horror. "?Reality?" is
plenty scary enough.

Maybe the novel length stories are scarier...

I only read 'em because of playing Call of C* with some friends, and I
wanted some background. While I've found the genre lame, the game
system IS something I enjoy! Definitely one of the better RPG's.

How about a B5 universe RPG? Is there one out? How's the play?

Good idea. It ain't wise to anger the Great Old Ones. Hell, even with the more
tame Lovecraftian creations like the Deep Ones, it ain't wise. With those fish
guys especially, you'd probably end up turning into one...

Travel tip: Innsmouth is not a good place to go.

Wow. JMS, you have nightmares? Cool. *And* you're a Lovecraft fan. Maybe I can
go to a convention and have you sign my copy of the Necronomicon, written by
the mad Arab Abdul Alhazred, eh?

Well, Lovecraft is scary as hell, when you get past the language (I had to have
a dictionary on hand). But once you figure out what's going on ("Jesus! People
are turning into demonic fish!" or "Oh my God! There are unbelievably old
things out there that can kill us in an instant!"), they're great. Well. *I*
enjoyed the books, at the least...

>How about a B5 universe RPG? Is there one out? How's the play?

Yup, bought it. It's pretty good... They give you a *lot* of info on Earth, a
little bit on the major alien races (not enough for my tastes), almost nothing
on the Vorlons, Shadows and Non-aligned, and plenty of extra stuff to liven of
the experience. I did have three complaints: Number one, there's *no space
combat system*. Yes, that's right... it's in a supplement, which I don't have.
Number two, some of the info in it doesn't mesh with the show. Then again, the
show barely meshes with *itself*, so that's really not too much of a problem
(In "The Gathering," Lyta says that half of those trying out for P5
classification burn out. Hmmm...). Number three... there aren't any stats for
the major characters! So, it's kind of tough figuring out whether Sheridan
would be best at "Tactics: Space Combat" or what...

Yep, I get to those places and think, "Hmph, people turning into demonic
fish? Wasn't that on WWF War last night?"

How much are they? Prohibitive? I've seen some games where the addins
easily add up to more than the game, EACH.

Yeah, just for playability if anything else you wouldn't expect it to be
EXACTLY the same.

??? So how are conflicts resolved? GM discretion only?

Haven't bought any supplements yet (actually, haven't *found* them...). Sorry.

You misuderstand, Grasshopper. Characters in the *game* (PCs and NPCs) have
stats, but the book doesn't have any examples of the stats that characters in
the *show* would have (No Delenn or G'Kar or nuthin'...).

Thank you master.

:)

I stopped by my fave game store this weekend and saw sumthin' B5, but it
didn't look RPGish. More like a card based game <sigh>. Maybe
TheStation or sumthing has it there....

Thanks again,

There are a card game, a space-combat miniatures game, and an RPG, all
distinct. I like the card game and don't have any real experience with
the other two.

Gwen, when I switched cable-systems a year ago, I found out the new one
doesn't carry MSNBC. I really don't miss it. They tend to
sensationalize stories, & they go on & on with a story for days. It
used to drive me crazy! So if MSNBC covered that creature eating the
TNT building, we would be sick of the story within a day! :)

The Babylon 5 Role Playing Game was published by Chameleon Eclectic in the
US, and Titan in the UK. There were only three items released for it, and I
don't think the game is still in print. ("BOOKSTORE", a chain of overstock
re-sellers here in the UK were carrying these books recently for about a
fiver a piece..)

It was called "The Babylon Project", rulebook ISBN is 1-85286-852-X.
"The Earth Force Sourcebook" covers Earth Force and contains the ship to
ship combat rules, ISBN 1-85286-861-9. Finally there is the "GM's Resource
Kit", essentially a screen and a pretty booklet, ISBN 1-887990-07-0.

There were rumours of an Earth Colonies sourcebook, but I never saw it.
It is actually a pretty good game, if you can get hold of it.
