-----that's enough...right?

well, first, i liked WZ, wasn't the best, but was much better than some of the
worst of B5(Grail comes to mind...), but that's not my reason for posting.
i've seen some people(not sure if here or un unmod) posting about
inconsistancies between the end of ACtA, and the beginning of crusade, and
while there is at least one(dureena acting like the excalibur is new to her),
one that i've seen mentioned is that crusade, dureena, and galen got from B5 to
Mars very quickly. and i thought it seemed fast at first, but while rewatchign
the replay tonight, i noticed that when they were all being introduced on Mars,
the Doctor mentioned "being cooked(cucked?, couked?) up here for a day and a
half", i think it's safe to assume that at least that much time has passed
between ACtA and WZ. possibly more, considering they first had to find the
doctor before they "cooked her up on mars".

anyone else find the conversation between Gideon and the senator on Mars to be
just a bit like what JMS might have said to the TNT guys? in particular "i
won't be pretty, and i'll [tick] a lot of people off doing it, but i'll get the
job done" and "if that means turning the galaxy upside down and shakign it to
see what falls out of it pockets"(pretty sure i've read JMS saying something
similar about that referring to the "Wham" episodes of B5)

More; it was said in B5's "Messages from Earth" that it takes 36 hours to
get to the Sol system from B5. Dureena met Galen back at B5, sometime
after the big battle at Earth, so minimum time becomes 3 days.

Actually, she never gives that impression; her reaction to the others seeing
the ship and being impressed is to shrug and say, "It'll do." She's not
impressed because she's already been there.

i actually noticed that when i rewatched this scene(i was typing my original
post as this scene aired in the replay, so i watched the tape), my first
impression was that she seemed to be "in awe" but as i saw it again, she seemed
to have a "been there, done that, wait till you see the big nasty gun"/"you
ain't seen nuthin yet" type of attitude instead, mainly in the way she grinned.

btw, jms, if you're still reading this thread, i liked the music, though it was
a little too quiet in spots, i actually found myself tapping my foot during the
Title sequence.

You tap your foot when you think a song is cool? The wierdest thing,
I can't explain it... the Season 4 theme music just made me want to...
grit my teeth in beat with the music, I can't explain it, it was
great... and I wanted to grit my teeth along with it... go figure :*)
My parents know if I like a song when I either play it on my stereo
fifty times, or hum/whisle while I work

well, i don't ALWAYS tap my foot when i like a song, i usually found myself
Humming the B5 themes(and themes from "other" shows..), but the crusade theme
is more percussive, and therefore, less Hummable. and tapping my foot is the
response(sometimes) to percussive sounds.

And, since she's a theif, her natural instincts are to not offer any
information, lest it turn out to be useful later. She can also pretend
to be blase about the whole thing, and not betray anything through
emotions.

Actually, what was stated was "...It's a two-day jump to Earth space; that's
a long time to be gone..." by Sheridan as he and Delenn were preparing to
leave Babylon 5 to intercept the Shadow ship on Ganymede. The hour figure
came from Lennier when they were already enroute, "About 32 hours from our
destination." And that was with the White Star; who know how Dureena went
back to Mars or how long it took. The impression is that she has been there
for some time since it is evident that she has broken out of confinment
several times.

One thing is consistent in both "A Call To Arms" and "War Zone", They have
had time to analyze the aerosol, determine what it is and estimate how long
it would be before it became active. That's a lot of work. We're talking
minimum several days, more likely weeks.

yes, and with all that had to have happened, i think it's fairly clear that WZ
was a couple days, not hours(like some have assumed), after ACtA.
now, to summarize all that must've happened(wee...this should be fun ;-)
1) word had to reach Gideon and crew wherever they were exploring, that they
needed every available ship to fight off the Drakh(musta been pretty far away
since they were EXPLORING afterall ;-), and then the ship had to return to Sol
2) The Battle was faught, the plague was released, and the scientists had done
prelim research on it already.
3) ISN had to have enough news on the situation to put out an accurate detail
of what happened, including # of casualities, and # of ships lost, and details
bout the plague.
4) Galen had to get from the place of hiding(presumably out beyond known space,
but possib for all the people that say "why didn't she drop sheridan's name to
get free?", well, when i was in school, unless i had a signed hallpass, saying
"the teacher sent me" wasn't good enough to get me out of detention, especially
if the teacher was busy trying to organize forces to find a cure for a plague
;-)
6) they had to find a group of people, including several scientists/doctors to
crew the ship.

am i missing anything? yeah, yeah, the #'s aren't exactly accurate since some
of them have more than 1 point in each, and they aren't in order. i really
think most of the "continuity errors"/"plotholes" that people see, are just due
to not really paying attention.(guilty of this myself..)

oh yeah, and i liked the music(mostly) too ;-)

I think this was a function of the actress's diction; she said "being
cooped up" (i.e. stuck there).

Exactly. If they took Galen's ship (probable) we don't really have *any* idea
how long it would take.
