GAH! Talk about adding insult to injury! It's bad enough that TNT isn't
going to show it, and we end up waiting an extra however-long to see it.
But now, on whatever station / format we DO end up seeing it, the story we
end up getting is one that was wrenched around and contorted to fit the
needs of a network that doesn't even have an interest in the series
anymore. To the extent that is too expensive and time-consuming to
re-shoot or otherwise compensate for the material involved.
This singlehandedly renders moot ANY debate about what had to be done to
accomodate actors leaving during B5.
If it would mean avoiding this sort of network nonsense, and could be
set up for the duration of Crusade's run, I'll send a check for $1000 to
any WB suit who successfully markets Crusade the same way Japanese
animation is done, i.e. direct to video without the stigma of American
"direct-to-video" productions. =)
