Only brief querry, since this may be unrelated to prostatitis
itself. Does anybody (man with prostatitis, or their partners) have
strong allergy to wheat - i.e., cannot eat bread, wheat flour products,
etc?
If I get significant positive response, I will share my thought.
If not, I will table one hypothesis. Thanks.

It's interesting you ask this. I've noticed that since I've had
prostatitis that I've had digestive difficulties whenever I've eaten wheat
in the morning, sometimes accompanied by a little brain fog or spaciness.
I'd like to hear more about a possible connection.

Why not do a simple and informal test for wheat allergy?

Abstain from eating all wheat products for one week. You will need to
be very careful here - many many prepared foods contain wheat products
in some form. Also look for bran, germ, and gluten.

Then break your wheat fast by pigging out on wheat products for a day
or two. If you're allergic, you will get a dramatic reaction.

Not a doctor, just a layman who has detected several unsuspected food
allergies in myself by this method. Food allergies do strange
things.

By the way, since I found out I'm allergic to tomatoes, my prostatitis
is not quite so severe.

Good luck.

John.
