Given "Path: news.alt.net!GAMMA.ru!news.sharkov.ua.POSTED!not-for-mail"

The complaints would have to go to ab...@sharkov.ua and would then be
examined by the newsadmin. The newsadmin, free of having to comply
with the DCMA and NET Act laws, could just ignore the complaints.

We don't want to work with a newsadmin who WON'T ignore those complaints.

The BSA/SPA/CCS/et.al can complain until the sharks come home, but the
newsadmin will ignore them. They would have to contact legal reps in the
country of origin, establish a basis for complaint, and then proceed with
legal action. All of this takes time, and the newadmin should warn us.
That's why I am emphasizing the *.sk, *.yu and other non-US/EU domains.

The Slovaks are a good choice, since they are wired into the EUnet backbone
and would be difficult to give the "Usenet Death Penalty", which is the
only other option the BSA/SPA/CCS/et.al have.

Ideally the server will handle more than warez and the packets we send
would not be traceable via "carnivore". The FBI dollar amount threshhold
for deploying "carnivore" could be gotten, but you can bet they won't roll
it out on a $250 app. The NSA and CIA won't care, and the FBI would have
trouble monitoring the news server anyway.

Make sense?

CHAPTER 3: +akula ADMITS CONTACT WITH NIPC & FBI AGENT KATHLEEN McCHESNEY
_______________________________________________________________________________

thre...@subdimension.com (also known as 'akula', 'srepsis', 'tiburón' and
hundreds of other nyms, both male and female) admitted direct association with
the National Infrastructure Protection Center. The NIPC serves as a national
law enforcement investigation and response entity. The mission of the NIPC is
to detect, deter, assess, warn, respond and investigate unlawful acts, support
law enforcement and coordinate training for investigators and prosecutors in
government and the private sector.

On 3 October 2001, +akula admitted his relationship with FBI Special Agent
Kathleen McChesney, located in Chicago during a string of famous online piracy
busts (some of McChesney's FBI activities are summarized in Appendix A below).
After +akula identified McChesney by her PGP key, an investigation disclosed
that +akula's own PGP key was signed by McChesney years earlier.

The PGP keys of +akula and Ms. McChesney appear in Appendix B below.

Read this if you're unfamiliar with the powerful strength of PGP:

The following two messages contain +akula's ADMITTED association with the NIPC
and FBI Special Agent Kathleen McChesney. Full headers have been included for

How do you know I've "been going about it all wrong"? You don't.

Much of the animosity directed at me is precisely because of my contact with the
NIPC. Agent McChesney (PGP key 0xE322EFDC) is the person to discuss this with
if she's still at NIPC.

akula admitted he was in contact with her. That key was created a full
year before it was used to sign his. akula himself offered that key as
McChesney's key. At the time he did that he believed it was to his
advantage to announce his association with the FBI and offered her key,
with valid email address, as proof.

The conjecture is merely the reasonable position that a person in warez
ought not to be offering the FBI Agent in charge of busting software
pirates as a character reference, and that FBI Agent wouldn't sign his
pgp-key without a reason, and that reason ain't good for warez.

Remember, you can't deny McChesney or the key- akula himself admits them.

All the facts I have offered have been verified by akula himself.

The facts offered are:

1: McChesney's key was created in 1998

2: That key was used to sign akula's key in 1999

3: akula himself acknowledged this, and offered the information publicly.

The difference is that he represented her as being at the NIPC rather
than the Chicago Field Office of the FBI, where she was in charge of the
team working on software piracy. Not at the NIPC, as he said. This
information didn't come out until it was in the news, when she busted
Fairlight in May 2000.

None of those are lies, they are all facts.

You may not choose to believe any or all of them, but they are all true.

You can say that McChesney's key is forged, but then whoever forged it did
that a year before it was used to sign akula's key.

That is not irrelevant, it is important to know that the key wasn't
created for that purpose at that time. It was already in existence. It is
not crucial, but it is important.

What is crucial is that akula himself offered that key id# as being hers,
when he stated that he was in touch with her. In other words, akula
VERIFIED that key was hers.

Before you can prove it is not, you have to prove that akula is a forger
and a liar.

Until you do that, the key stands as hers, as a valid FBI Agent's key.

Note that he claimed contact with her, and his key was signed by her, a
year BEFORE Fairlight was busted.

That is a year BEFORE she became a public figure in the anti-piracy cases.

Search the web for her, you will not find her presence before that. So she
was not a public person before that. akula acknowledged knowing her, and
announced she had signed his pgp-key, a year before anyone else knew who
the fuck she even was.

akula attested to that fact. And the fact that he picked a name that no
one knew before the Fairlight bust, a year later, makes it pretty clear
that there WAS contact, as he stated, just not the sort of contact he was
claiming.

Explain why anyone would create a pgp in the name of an obscure FBI Agent
in 1998. An FBI Agent that no one knew from adam, and in 1999 use it to
sign akula's key.

Remember that no one knew who she was then.

No one knew she was working on busting software piracy until May 2000.

So who had the crystal ball in 1998 to create that key?

Why did akula himself announce his contact with Agent McChesney?

Why did akula himself offer THAT key as her key. The key of the Agent with
whom he was in personal contact?

You have to ask akula why he would name her. You have to ask akula why he
offered up that key as hers. A year before anyone even knew who the fuck
she was.

The DOD Bust was later, I only referenced the 2000 and 2001 busts of
Fairlight and PWA. Fairlight is what was written, IIRC. If it was Fastlane,
WTF is the difference? The fact is that a group was busted by her, that is
the point that is being made. Who gives a fuck how it's spelled?

Did he have a crystal ball? Did his crystal ball tell him in 1998 to
create a pgp key in the name of an obscure FBI Agent, whom no one knew of,
and a year later, to use that key to sign his own? He said he knows her.
He posted the ID himself.

akookla is a federal informant who has deeply penetrated the warez/cracks

The federal informant, akula, is the one to concentrate on. He is the only
one we know is working for the FBI.

We might even announce that you suck akula's dick. Only everyone already knows
that too.

But you didn't explain why the FBI Special Agent who was busting all those
warez/crack release groups shortly after signing akookla's key, ever signed his
key!

No, you didn't explain that at all.

Explain it.

Bet you that you cant.

Because there is *NO* reasonable explanation for her doing that. Not one that
anyone not already brain-dead would believe. Tell us all there, Bobbo, tell us
why an FBI Special Agent (in charge of the Chicago Field Office at the time)
signed his key. The SAME Special Agent who was busting warez and crack groups!
The SAME Special Agent who a few months later busted Fairlight and then PWA!

Probably no one at the FBI has had to come up with an explanation for the likes
of you, who simply believes whatever he's told.

You are too fucking dumb for words.

You chose the right nym, kid. "Blind Bob" suits you to a 'T'! You couldn't see

I am neither a friend or an enemy. I merely disagree with you.

Until now. that is.

Batty has you: It's game, set and match.

The thread he has posted is undeniably yours. I have gone back into
dominion and looked at them and they are attributable to you and your
group. You talk about evading the law and how to do it. There is a
name for that, but I'm not an attorney so I won't go there.

I don't see any point in going into how you manipulate your followers
into participating in your schemes. You did it with Vrodok a year ago
and now you are getting them involved in your latest escapade. This
time however, there are legal implications.

I don't think that you can any longer be reasoned with. Your obsession
has blinded you to reason and logic.

I am posting this so that your followers can consider what steps they
can take to protect themselves.

If I were in their shoes, I would seek help from competent legal

Were I you, I would disappear from Usenet.

CHAPTER 4: UFF COUNCIL RELEASES MAIL ANALYSIS
_______________________________________________________________________________

Following is a reprint of an article posted by UFF Press on 26 April 2002:

**************************************************************************

UFF PRESS, 26 April 2002 -- Formerly classified as
internal for UFF use only, The UFF Council released
for public inspection today a December analysis of
akula mail intake in alt.anonymous.messages which
reveals a disturbing trend.

The graph shows the number of incoming mail messages
sent to akula in alt.anonymous.messages steadily
increased to 8 times its average daily volume during
the 7 days PRIOR to the FBI bust announcement of 11
December 2001, then decreased 61% immediately after
the bust was made public.

http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pr/2001/December/01_crm_643.htm

''If the intentions of akula were as stated we would
have expected to see the inverse, that is, the
number of incoming mail messages should have
increased AFTER the announcement of the bust, not
before, as he would need to communicate with his
many posters to determine if they were safe and if
0-day posting would be adversely affected. Instead,
we see the exact opposite,'' said in part the
memorandum which accompanied the original delivery
of the analysis to The UFF Council last December.

CHAPTER 5: COMPULSIVE LIES AND DELIBERATE DISRUPTIONS
_______________________________________________________________________________

The simple +akulaK00K KaMP game plan is disrupting the flow of warez while
pretending to promote the flow of warez. Narcing and post halting appear to be
two of many desired consequences of the resultant chaos.

Here's how it works:

+akula, a compulsive liar, maintains the set strategy of setting himself up as
self-appointed moderator of a functioning warez or cracks group. He establishes
a fake set of rules that no one could possibly abide by and threatens to halt
all posts when the rules predictably get violated, effectively insuring MAXIMUM
DISRUPTION, MAXIMUM DOWNTIME and MINIMUM WAREZ. When called on it, +akula
assumes the role of innocent victim and Usenet Abuse Fighter and, if necessary,
moves elsewhere to repeat the procedure.

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=wCFs8.61844$r7.51...@bin8.nnrp.aus1.giganews.com

If your group has been infected by +akula, it is important that you recognize
some of the many +akula techniques and lies that have been exposed:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=compuls...@akula.edu

After +akula was forcefully removed from alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.0-day, he
made one final resurrection attempt via a post stating people had a 'choice'
taken away from them. See for yourself what 'choice' +akula gave to the people
and what life was like in alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc.0-day when the +akulaK00K
KaMP regime was in power:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=KK@choicereturn

These continual lies and deliberate disruptions have resulted in gigabytes of
warez, perhaps even terabytes of warez, NOT getting posted.

Usenet veterans Tripp and ClassAct bootfucked +akula before his law enforcement
connections were exposed, and Philibuster joined in:

WARNING:

The nym "crc.checked.good.before.posting.@lt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc (abwi)" has
been jointly adopted by several of these individuals in their efforts to
maliciously disrupt the flow of warez in alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc by violating
all common Usenet principles and practices regarding subject lines. +akula
himself, "ledgerDeMain" and "Vrodok the Troll" are among those who have taken
turns causing disruption under this nym by hijacking open Usenetserver proxies
shared secretly amongst each other. Various "One Hit Wonder" posts from
Giganews and other providers, made by +akula supporters under different nyms,
frequently appeared to promote and generate support for the "abwi" puppet,
which as of the date of this FAQ was filtered out for abuse by Supernews admin
Jeremy Nixon.

U.S. INDICTS 17 IN ALLEGED INTERNATIONAL SOFTWARE PIRACY CONSPIRACY
May 4, 2000

CHICAGO. Seventeen defendants from across the United States and Europe
were indicted by a federal grand jury today for allegedly conspiring to
infringe the copyright of more than 5,000 computer software programs
that were available through a hidden Internet site that was located at
a university in Quebec, Canada, the Justice Department announced.
Twelve of the defendants, including an Aurora, Ill., man, allegedly
were members or leaders of an international organization of software
pirates known as "Pirates with Attitudes," an underground group that
disseminates stolen copies of software, including programs that are not
yet commercially available. The remaining five defendants were
employees of Intel Corp., four of whom allegedly supplied computer
hardware to the piracy organization in exchange for obtaining access
for themselves and other Intel employees to the group’s pirated
software, which had a retail value in excess of $1 million. Today’s
indictment is the result of an investigation that became public with
the Feb. 3 arrest of the lead defendant Robin Rothberg, of North
Chelmsford, Ma., who is identified as a "council" member, or leader, of
PWA. The indictment was announced by Scott R. Lassar, United States
Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and Kathleen McChesney,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Division of the Federal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bureau of Investigation. The investigation is continuing, they said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"This group is one of the oldest and most sophisticated networks of
software pirates anywhere in the world," Mr. Lassar said, adding that
"these defendants are accused of illegally reproducing copyrighted
software and distributing it over the Internet."
"This is the most significant investigation of copyright infringement
involving the use of the Internet conducted to date by the FBI," said
Ms. McChesney. "It demonstrates the FBI's ability to successfully
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
investigate very sophisticated on-line criminal activity."
