problem installing momentic IDE with package installer

I get the following error when trying to load the package installer:

Details: No elements found in XML file.
/fs/cd0/repository/repository.qrm (line 1, column 0)

-This happens 3 times.
-Then it begins to load and the progress bar fills.
-Once it is full, it gives the error again.
-Then the package installer user interface is displayed, with no option to
install NC for x86.only the arm.

An extract from the log file:

-Opening installed repository ("Core Repository" at /pkgs/base)
-Saving installed QRM to /etc/system/package/installed/b62...etc.qrm ("Core
Repository" at /pkgs/base)
-Installed repository has been parsed (22 packages)
-Loaded installed QPF file (/etc/system/package/packages)
-ERROR: No elements found in XML file...

Any help will definately be greatly appreciated!
