BTW, which trailer did you view? I could only get the "Small" trailer to

Thanks, just wondering.
Oh gosh. I guess the leaked script is accurate. Just introduce a completely
new race of Remans to Trek and expect everyone to buy that they really
existed in the Romulan Empire this entire time. Or the completely laughable
idea of the enemy being a young Picard clone that we never knew about. I
wonder if it's too late to hope that the movie doesn't suck?

So, did you people see when that shuttle fired through that wall?
I dunno, it didn't feel impressive at all, it's that godamn phaser system
and such stuff used in Trek.
It's just so lame that even when it fires and is supposed to look cool and
powerfull it looks like Steve Urkel trying to lift weights, whats worse this
is on purpose, that whole impression and feeling, is just me who expects the
Enterprise in ST:FC to being shooting streams of flowers out of it's phaser
arrays as one hears that godawful firing sound(wich totally lacks oomph)?
No, Dalton is right. The person who at Paramount determines the release
dates for movies should be smacked and hard. Hmm I wonder there has been a
lot of talk that if this movies make enough money then it won't be the last
movie for the TNG crew, maybe someone high up doesn't want that to happen.
Ooooo Paramount/Star Trek conspiracy!
But explosions, jeeps, cloaking ships, and special effects won't help if a
two-hour long movie is running on a storyline like the one on the leaked
script.
Also the Fed car looks tough the way a dune boogie looks tough, if you
watch carefully you can actually watch the solder points in the tube
frame, painted silver, but visible, there goes equipment replication,
they can't even replicate or build via replicators or some treknology
a simple tube frame. Not to mention half the crew's bodies are
completely exposed. Did you noticed how EXTREMLY close the Enterprise
and the bad guy's(i guess) ship was? Why that? Any guess?
Oh yes, now I remember what that phaser firing sound is like, it remembers
me of when I take a piss.
How fitting that the Enterprise fires yellow beams...

Yeah here is my guess. The E-E was sent to Romulus, or Remus on a

You know, I remember a TNG episode, the one where Troi is surgically altered
to resemble a Tal Shiar member, and her conspirator gets the ship's engineer

DUNE BUGGIES? Oh, as any MSTie knows, a dune buggy modified to
represent a military vehicle is NOT a sign of quality in a film...
Additionally, this proves that the UFP does not have repulsor
technology sophisticated enough to be used on military vehicles the
way the Empire does.

I'm surprised the Federation has military vehicles.
Have you been living in a cave?
The leaked script for SW: EII has the Emperor hiring Subulba to take out Obi
Wan. Don't put to much faith into this leaked script give the movie a
chance.
No.
I'm not seeing these weld points, but my monitor is going bad so that might
be why.
Hopefully we will get to see those vehicles sometime.

Perhaps the Reman ship moved in close to the E-E to intimidate.
TheForce.Net's Virtual Edition was spot on.

The leaked script of Nemesis said exactly what we see in the trailer, a new
brother of Data, a clone of Picard, and a nephew race of the Romulans, the
Remans. And I'd bet we'll see Troi and Riker getting married too in Nemesis.
Lord Sander,

Glory to the Empire and Emperor Palpatine!
I think they're about to blow that tradition to hell.
The leaked script of Episode II also had a lot of what we saw in the actual
movie, however stupid parts like Sebulba weren't in it.
I'm not so sure what's so bad about this plot anyway?
The leaked script shows us exactly what we saw in the trailer: Data's
brother, Picard's clone, a Federation Dune Buggy, Troi presumably being
mind-raped, et cetera.
And, the leaked script I had for Episode II matched the movie almost
precisely, but it must have been an earlier draft, since a good deal of
scenes weren't in the final. I was looking forward to the scene where
Anakin meets Padme's parents, though.

Yeah, I bet Bond 20 will be "pretty good."
In one of the drafts, it says stuff like 'The Remans are scary looking,
kinda like Nosferatu-like creatures' and 'the dune buggies will be like the

That's what I'm talking about. Leaked scripts can be many things, rough
drafts for example. I think the leaked script for ST: N is a rough draft.
I could very well be wrong though.
Does SW? Ya know SW didn't change my life, I wouldn't expect ST to either.
It's entertainment!
Kirk wasn't killed by a falling rock, he was killed by falling on rocks :)
What movie says it's okay for white supremacists to live forever? LOL some
of the things you people get from these movies....it's silly. No offense
though. This is on par with the claims that George Lucas is racist because
of Jango Fett.
I think people are a little harsh on 9. It was more in the style of 4, than
the previous ones - a much lighter film which I guess isn't as interesting
to most people here as the darker ones like 2, 6 and 8. It would have been
much better as a 2-part episode though, rather than a film.

Well, three lovley responces. First, to Sir Nitram, thank you for the info.
I did not know about it bacause I have no interest in LOTR what so ever.
To Iceberg, I will just say...Wow. That was odd.
And, lastly, to Kamakazie Sith, the obvious, yet true answer is NO. I have
not.
Thank you for your time.
I believe you have your Trek films numbers mixed up a bit...;-)
ST:8 was First Contact. The one with the Borg. The one where Kirk was killed
(Although, Not by a falling rock) was ST: 7 Generations. And, as for the
Bird of Prey, the Enterprise-D's shields were not working, so the BOP was
able to just sit there and fire away.
As for your comments on Trek:9, I will leave that to the others on this NG.
They could have just rotated the shield frequency (which should be standard
operating procedure after the Borg). Also, they fired exactly one torpedo.
If they'd just poured a lot of torpedoes into their shields they'd have
destroyed that BOP pretty quick.

They weren't working because Starfleet and the rest of the ST galaxy
deliberatly puts an enormous hole in thier shields.
My point exactly.

Damn your harsh....are you still going to go see ST: N
Actually, no, the shields were up and at full strength. Lursa and B'etor
merely used the spy device installed in Geordi's visor (nice security
there guys) to beam back visuals of the current shield frequency ("He
must be the only engineer in Starfleet that doesn't GO TO
ENGINEERING!"). A dash of "recalibration" and the pithy little piece of
crap is able to take out Starfleet's flagship.

Don't make me hurt you!
Although comparing Star Trek vs. Bond popularity might be interesting.

The damn fucking site keeps jacking up my computer
Interestingly enough, I don't like the thought of vehicles in Star
Trek. Even more interestingly, the reason why is because it shows that
Trek people might show competence over tendencies to prefer "wizardry"
for once, which I think is a continuatily error. After all, everyone
is supposed to be stupid in the TNG/Post-TNG era:)
Well, SW doesn't pretend to be high brow and intelligent. Of course, it also
tackles the rough issues of humanity, the rise and fall of a man, redemption,
temptation, and so forth.
That and it has exploding planets. You have to love exploding planets.

ST8 sucked as well. "Insurrection" at Paramount, me thinks.
Let's hope that Paramount takes a hint and stops making ST movies until they
can get better script writers.
P.S. I AM a Star Trek FAN - I'm just NOT a SUCKER!
ST8 was First Contact, ST9 was Insurrection.
2 and 6 are my favorites.

8 was alright. 7 wasn't bad. 9 blew.

Sorry about that!
ST8 was the even more lousy ST:First Contact lens with the moronic concept
of the "Borg Queen" and even stupider Borg "drones."
Give me a break!
That movie made "Insurrection" look like "Gone With The Wind."
Probably, because it'll be free for me and I rarely pass up free.
Are you trying to say that Freddy "I get to bone Sarah Michelle Gellar"
Prinz wasn't just awesome in that movie?
Never saw it. Heard it stunk tho.
Everyone I have spoken too, classifies LOTR as "Fantasy", and I do not like
fantasy. Just plain 'ol Sci-Fi. However, I do know about the first LOTR,
just not about the others.
Thanks. I will try to. Do you know when it will be available on DVD?

This I did not know. I only knew of the first movie.
Once again, thanks for the info.
I agree totally about the rotating the shield frequency's. This was done on
Voyager many times. But, as for the torpeadoes, Riker specifficlly said to
Worf, to fire a Full spread of torpeadoes. It may have looked like only one,
but Riker ordered a full spread. Weather it was or not, I do not know. I
think Paramount just wanted to save money by re-using stock footage from
Trek:6 TUC.
And, yes, a few torpeados could have destroyed the BOP, but they had to make
Brent Spiner's charactor look good...;-)
Though, I do respect your opinion, I do not however, agree with it. The Borg
are a hive mind. It is only logical that they have a "Queen". IMHO anyways.

You liked "Insurection" better than "First Contact"??? Now, this I have
never heard of. And I participate on many Trek groups. I have spoken to no
one who liked Trek:9 better than Trek:8. There is that 'ol "Odd Trek films
suck, even trek film's rock" saying going around...;-)
Not that "Insurection" was bad, I just liked "First Contact" much more.

Insurrection was forgettable enough that my dad didn't remember watching
it six months after we saw it in the theatre, and he goes to about one
movie every one and a half years. On the other hand, if I mention
floating purple blood he immediately knows that I am referring to ST:6.
