I've got SuSE 7.3 with XF86 4.2.0 installed on this machine. Problem is when
I run sax2 to set up the x server it says detecting network cards, and then
the screen flickers a few times before going to a grey screen, and then the
whole computer is locked up. The only way out of that is a reboot.

I've tried using sax but the same thing happens. It starts to load up, and
then the screen & computer locks up.
I then tried using xf86config, and it looks like it crashes when it tried a
probe of the RAMDC, and the exact card wasn't on the list. Is there another
card that I could select which is compatable? I don't mind not having the
full 3D properties of the card.
Does anyone know of any way round this?
