When I makedev tape, the system shows that a tape drive is installed
already:
0 Generic SCSI - 1 / SCSI -2
I try to remove it and I get an error message that says
"There are currently no SCSI Tape Drives configured in the
/etc/conf/cf.d/mscsi file. Do you wish to continue? (y/n)"
>y
"The number of SCSI devices has not been changed."
A listing shows the SCSI tape device is still there.
I try to add a new SCSI tape drive anyway.
I fill in all the options. hostadaotoer prefix=alad, scsi adaptor=0, bus=0,
targetid=3, lun=0
Update configuration
use default vendor classification string, SCSI version, response data format
select 1. Generic SCSI-1 /SCSI-2 tape drive
rm to remove boot string
Then I go to the backup manager and try to run it, it comes back and tells
me that it is unable to get defaults for the tape drive. Backup manager
then quits.
I try to remove both tape drives, but I am left with one always.
Anybody have any suggestions on how I can remove this phatom tape drive?
