One of the most frequently asked questions I've
ever encountered is what books do you recommend?
Typically this is asked in the context of tarot
or astrology, since that is what I practice and
teach. Naturally, the first book I recommend is
the Holy Bible, since without a good foundation
in spiritual common sense, no other learning is
likely to help the student but is apt rather to
become dangerous in the mind of the uninitiated.
It's no secret that I also hold Nostradamus and
Edgar Cayce in the highest esteem, with Flavius
Josephus, St. Jerome (SE Hieronymus), Akiba ben
Joseph, and several others of lesser repute all
of whom have earned my respect by virtue of the
great works they've left for future generations,
be they mentor, prophet, historian & translator,
I've learned a lot from studying their writings,
as I'm sure others have through these centuries.
Beyond this, I'd like to recommend my own books
and articles, but then again, it's not my place
to do so. I can, however, advise astute readers
to avoid tropical and sidereal astrologers like
you'd avoid the plague...not that the plague is
something you can avoid regardless. Nonetheless,
I warn you against the conventional astrologers,
as they'd mislead you--even as they were misled.
