Go-go...Holler at me!

I was introduced to the Go-Go scene when I lived in DC '84-85. Coming from Texas which had NO go-go, I didn't like it at first. But then I got the go-go and fell in love w/ the low-quality taped concerts. The music just pumps.

First time I went to a party and ALL they played was go-go...I was actually starvin' for hip-hop at the party. I went to a go-go jam in the Fall of 90 at this
house party. The basement was packed w/ a local go-go band and the brothers were working out! The place was packed and everyone was just jumping up and down.
Could really spit game and ask a chic to dance...just jump next to her ;-) WILD.

I'm going to Maryland this weekend to search for a go-go CD compilation. I've seen good-quality tapes sold in the stores but I want this shit on CD.

Oh well, anymore go-go people out there then chat with me and bring me up to date on the DC go-go scene.
