Greetings:

Is there a way to turn off specific pine filters without removing the
details. I would like to keep the details of the filter in case I want to
turn them back on at a later date. This is also useful for testing
different filters.

I don't want to have to retype the filters again.

EX: Some email programs allow you to enable or disable via a select
option for each defined filter.

Thanks

Jim

You could try altering 'Filter Action' to 'Just Set Message Status'

The way I do this is to put the filters in a file and then
eXclude the file. To do this, type

M Main
S Setup
R Rules
F Filters
O Other

and then you'll see these two commands

I IncludeFile
X eXcludeFile

Type I to give a name to the file to be included. Then use $ to
shuffle the filter you want to turn off into the file. Then use X
to exclude the file.

Excellent!!!

I should have known there would be a 'right' way to do this.
