Hey,

Does anyone know if there is a way to make Washington University's
imapd support the maildir in Qmail? I can't seem to find any info on
the subject matter.

There are two patches for that listed on the qmail home page
at http://www.qmail.org.

There is no official support of Maildir in UW Imap, and if I
call mrc's previous posts on the matter, there probably never will be.
(Marc, my apologies if I'm misremembering or misquoting you).

That's a reasonably accurate statement. Maildir is a support and
performance nightmare.

Visit http://www.qmail.org/, choose a mirror site, and then page down
until you find the info on imap. You'll find some links.

It looks to me like it'll take some work on your part to get it
working though.

What does that mean? As far as I can tell, it's much better
than the alternatives.

Incidentally, that's "University of Washington's" (in Seattle, WA) imapd
-- Washington University is another institution, in St. Louis, MO.
