Yes it is true Atlanta is having a bad month. First Comdex with
its traffic jams and now we are setting a record in homocides for the
month of May. Louis Farakan came to town Monday and nothing has been the
same since. He spoke to black males only about taking things into their
own hands and making a future for themselves etc. The very next day one of
his audience a 16 year old kid was blown away as he walked from home
school, shot in the back.
Two males got mad in a traffic accident on the downtown interstate
and got out and took turns shooting to death the guy who was involved in a
fender bender with them.
A 70+ year old woman shot dead in her apartment. Gang making a point!
Dea shot dead drug gang member in drug shoot out in Atlanta
Renaissance motel as guests slept.
And a bunch more that I can't even remember just this week! The
police chief just quit as he was going to run for county chairman. Big
scandel as to were he offically lived. Said he had to move since he
didn't feel safe! He dosn't feel safe in his own city?
A few weeks ago four transvestites raped and mutilated a man in
Piedmont Park in midtown Atlanta. They were never caught.
Flordia hasn't a candel against what this city will do to tourists
come the Olympics! Possibly we will have new Olympic events like the fifty
yard dash from muggers. Maybe you can think of other Olympic events to
submit to the Atlanta Constitution for print and public comment.

Huh?
"I'm gonna shoot him! <BLAM!> There, he's dead."
"Ok, my turn- <BLAM!> Ha- dead again!"
"Gimme my gun back. <BLAM!> There, I killed him again."
"Sucka! Gimme that! <BLAM!> He's dead."
"Yup. <BLAM!> I killed him."

I dunno Vic, this is pretty extreme, even by your standards.

Kirk, <grin>, I am sitting at the home of a friend who is with
the City of Atlanta, as we read your message. He is laughing for he knows
about the shooting incident on the downtown connector (I-75 and I-85
combined). Extreme yes, but life in the big city!
