Hello,

Last week I installed Matlab for linux on my PC. Now I have the
following problem: when I start Matlab, I'm not able to type in the
command window. It seems that my keyboards is not reacting. When I
reboot my PC and the first program I start up is Matlab, everything is
OK. But when I run other programs at the same time, I can't type in the
command window. Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you very much,
Hilde Vernieuwe

If you are running XFree86 4.0, try turning off your num lock key.
Or upgrade to the very latest XFree86 4.0.x where I believe that
bug is fixed.

If this doesn't describe your situation, let me know. As a short-term
workaround you can use "matlab -nojvm" to get back to the R11 xterm
interface, which doesn't have this problem.

Hope this helps -
Greg
