Sorry to see it, censorship, but I do not spam. May be sending out ten posts on
a Sunday morning, other times two posts daily. As the things are so unreliable,
I always send two via different remailers, like it says in FAQ of APAS. What
the problem is that the remailer ops do not send what they do not like. Like I
sent some posts about Church Of Scientology over weekend. Not one got through.
They are using ORBS and RBL Filtering out posts they do not like.

If you do not know what ORBS is. This is what it is:
Short for Object Request Broker, a component in the CORBA programming model
that acts as the middleware between clients and servers. In the CORBA model, a
client can request a service without knowing anything about what servers are
attached to the network. The various ORBs receive the requests, forward them to
the appropriate servers, and then hand the results back to the client.
If you do not konw what RBL is. This is what it is:
Created by Mail Abuse Prevention System (MAPS) LLC., Realtime Blackhole List
consists of IP addresses whose owners refuse to stop the proliferation of spam.
The RBL usually lists server IP addresses from ISPs whose customers are
responsible for the spam and from ISPs whose servers are hijacked for spam
relay.
As subscribers to the RBL, ISPs and companies will know from which IP addresses
to block traffic. Most traffic blocking occurs during the SMTP connection
phase. The receiving end will check the RBL for the connecting IP address. If
the IP address matches one on the list, then the connection gets dropped before
accepting any traffic from the spammer. Some ISPs, though, will choose to
blackhole (or ignore) IP packets at their routers. The goal here is to block
certian IP traffic ie yours.
Those offenders who wish to be removed from the list must drop the spammer and
strengthen their AUPs. If one can't change its AUP, but is willing to supply
MAPS with the netblocks allocated to the spammer, MAPS can RBL the netblocks.
It is important to note that all e-mail and packet blocking is done by the
recipient, not MAPS. MAPS is only responsible for bouncing spam that is
Directed at its servers.
Subscription to RBL is free, although, there is a way for nonsubscribers to
gain access.
Way to deal with these remailers is to start to post them and boycott them. Do
other things to like sniffing around their servers with nmap. May be them they
will start to smarten up. If you know a remailer using ORBS/RBL start to post
them and I will put them in the forums in packetstorm. Anon

No, ORBS stands for Open Relay Behavior modification System. See

http://www.orbs.org

for more information. It has nothing to do with CORBA. Sigh...

Sorry, thats not what ORBS in this case actually is. You have had an acronym
collision. Danger! Danger Will Robinson!

In short, you are mistaken. Even though I'm sure this is probably just a lame
troll, for those that don't know any better, ORBS has nothing whatsoever
to do with CORBA.

Yes, you can gain access and by "subscription" they mean acting as a secondary or
stealth secondary DNS. Regardless, the RBL is an open DNS zone. You can query
any address you want thusly:

IP: 1.2.3.4

nslookup 4.3.2.1.rbl.maps.vix.com

(yes, you have to reverse the IP)

If you get back a PTR, then the address is in the RBL zone. Otherwise, its not.

[much trolling snipped]

May I repeat my thinking on this?
Script-Kiddie tried
flooding
and it was less succesful than expected
igniting a war between people
(remops, or individuals, or nationalities, or languages...)
and it did not work for very long
now he is alone playing both sides
creating a splinter in the remailer network
by casting doubts or categorizing

Here we are on that 3rd kind of attack
today ORBS against no-ORBS
tomorrow Reliable against Mixmaster
the day after tomorow: something else

RULE OF THUMB
If the post finishes with:
remailer xxx should be excluded / spammed / ostracised
it is just evidence that the author's goal is only to weaken the network
all the reasons he exposed before were just a pretext serving that goal

SMILE
We got
FROG and its numerous high crimes
SHINN and ORBS
DIZUM and binaries
SQUIRREL: too old not to be owned
...
we got to find something with others before they get jealous

IMHO you 'profile' yourself so hard, it's hard to imagine you're
*not*
owned/paid by some TLA or another..

Me? I've been lurking for years. I'm the person in the tinfoil hat ;)

What inspired me to followup? The gradual decline of the remailer
grid,
the commercial value of data streams? Nah!

So? Snap out of it guys!

Really? Well, I did check the sig...
