[This is the text of an X3 document I have just received.
I assume that omitting the word "Common" was a typo; the dpANS
itself clearly says "Programming Language Common LISP".

Subject: Notification of Approval/Adoption/Reaffirmation/Withdrawal of Standards

The American National Standards Institute completed final action on
December 8, 1994 for the following:

ANSI X3.226:1994 American National Standard for Programming Language LISP
(new standard) (X3J13)

ANSI X3.254:1994 Fibre Channel - Mapping to HIPPI-FP (FC-FP)
(new standard) (X3T11)

Quantity orders for published copies will be billed at a special price if the
order can be included with the original printing and you notify the Director
of Customer Services at ANSI of your requirements.

Please inform appropriate personnel of these actions. ANSI will insert the
appropriate notices in a forthcoming issue of _Standards_Action_.

In accordance with BSR procedures, those objecting to the approvals or
withdrawals are hereby notified of their right to appeal which must be
received in writing with the Chairman of the BSR within 15 working days
after receipt of this notification. The appeal must be based on due
process or lack of consensus and include a statement as to why the BSR
action should be modified. The BSR will not render decisions on the
relative merits of technical matters, but it shall consider whether due
process was afforded technical concerns.
