Anyone know of a site that helps teach hypergammon? Mr. and Mrs. Hypergammon
are stealing all my points!

Hugh Sconyers has a CD program that can analyze and play the game perfectly.
(Hypergammon has actually been mathematically 'solved'.) You can check it
out at

http://www.back-gammon.com/sconyers/hypergammon.html

Hugh's program on the CD is the same one that Mr and Mrs Hyperbot use to
choose their moves.

Good luck!

That explains the ~2000 GG rating then.

I watched hypergammon (Mr. Hypergammon)for the first time yesterday as it
happens and decided that it isn't as easy as it first appears and quite
interesting really.

Probably good holding game / "run or stay" practice although I think I'll
stick with regular for now as I still have heap amounts to learn there
before touching variants.

I hear you Scott. Hyper is like the crack cocaine of the backgammon world.
Very evil stuff indeed. The only site I can recommend is gamblers
anonymous. As a last resort, put your foot through your computer monitor.
Worked for me. Just mentioning the word "hyper" has caused the old urgings
to reappear. DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!! I'm loosing control again. Thanks a lot
Scott, you tempting bastard. I can remember when it used to be sex, but I
beat that addiction. Oh well, look out Mr. and Mrs Hyperbot. DiceGod is
going to unleash his wrath.

Out of control again,

I have a (very) old version that runs under DOS that I suspect will not run
under Win ME when I change my computer later this year. Anyone know if
there is a newer Windows version ? The windows interface mentioned at the
bottom of hypergammon.html doc refers to the front end to all Hugh Sconyers
discs (used to access the databases) and not to the program itself.
