Sorry for the lateness of this post. Between spending most of my time
working at home and spending the rest of that time in the hospital
(it's a long story, but I'm OK), things have been a bit hectic.

A couple of observations: Now that there have been 4 AAA broadcasts, I
feel pretty confident in making a couple of inferences.

First, *none* of the CMLL foreign talent made the move to AAA. This
includes the following: Andres (Sangre Chicana) Richardson, Carlos
(Conan) Espata, Yoshihiro (Ultimo Dragon) Asai, Art (Love Machine)
Barr, El Vampiro Canadiense, Norman (Black Magic) Smiley, Mike (Aaron
Grundy) Shaw, Solomon Grundy (sic).

Presumably this has to do with work permits. If anybody knows why none
of these individuals made the move to AAA, please post or send to me
directly.

Second, it looks like only about half of the old CMLL talent made the
switch. Among those who apparently *didn't* move are: Rayo de Jalisco,
Lizmark, Kung Fu, Super Astro, Pirata Morgan, Masakre, Satanico, MS-1,
America, Filoso, Egipcio, Apolo Dantes, Ringo Mendoza, Los Brazos, and
probably others who just don't come to mind. Also popular referees
Roberto Rangel and Gato Montini appear to have remained in the CMLL
fold.

In any case, the new talent they've picked up is all quite good, and
the shows have been of consistently high quality.

Results of matches broadcast over Galavision on Sunday, June 21, 1992
from Auditorio Jose Maria Ortega, Queretaro, Santa Cruz:

First Match:

Super Kiss (masked - Los Angeles, California), Super Calo (masked -
Guatemala), Winners (masked - Mexico) (faces) vs. Atila (masked -
Mexico), Bleda (masked - Mexico), Picudo (masked - Mexico) (heels);
Pepe Casas and El Tirante (referees).

Super Calo = (roughly) Super Rapper. He's billed as "El Rey de Rap."
Atila = Attila (as in "the Hun").
Bleda = ? (my Spanish dictionary has an entry for Bled*o*, but it
doesn't make any sense in this context, so who knows?
Picudo = Beaked.

First Fall: Super Kiss pins Picudo with a double chicken wing suplex.

Second Fall: All 3 rudos pin Super Kiss.

Third Fall: Super Kiss pins Picudo after Winners hit him with a
spectacular top rope moonsault plancha.

Second Match:

Super Star (masked - Mexico), Galactico (masked - Mexico), Apolo
(masked - Mexico) (faces) vs. Brazo de Platino (masked - Mexico), Super
Brazo (masked - Mexico), The Rose (masked - Mexico); El Tirante and
Pepe Casas (referees).

Brazo de Platino = Platinum Arm. He's supposed to be an Alvarado
brother.
The Rose does a Terry Garvin ("Beauty" era) type gimmick where he flits
around the ring acting like a maracon.

First Fall: Super Star pins Brazo de Platino with a top rope
moonsault.

Second Fall: Galactico pins The Rose with a Gotch suplex.

Third Match:

Kendo Star (masked - Dominican Republic), Solar (masked - Mexico),
Angel Azteca (masked - Mexico) (faces) vs. Vulcano (Mexico), Tony Arce
(Mexico), and Rocco Valente (Mexico) (heels); El Tirante and Pepe Casas
(referees).

First Fall: All 3 tecnicos pin all 3 rudos.

Second Fall: Rocco Valente pins Angel Azteca.

Third Fall: The rudos win with a surprise pin as Angel Azteca is
getting one of them to submit to a punishing hold. (Sorry, these notes
are nearly 2 weeks old, and I don't remember exactly what happened).

Fourth Match:

Fishman (masked - Mexico), La Parca (masked - Mexico), Blue Panther
(masked - Mexico) (heels) vs. Octagon (masked - Mexico), Perro Aguayo
(Mexico), Hijo Del Santo (masked - Mexico) (faces); El Tirante and Pepe
Casas (referees).

First Fall: Hijo Del Santo gets Blue Panther to submit to a camel
clutch after Octagon beats the Hell outta him. Perro chairs both
Fishman and Parca. This is something I'd never seen in a lucha match
before. Both Arena Coliseo and Arena Mexico in Mexico City have
auditorium seats, but all the AAA matches I've seen so far have had
folding chairs all over the place. The luchadors have been rather
liberal in mixing it up among the fans - as far back as the 5th row!

Second Fall: Fishman chairs Perro, who hardway juices. Hijo Del Santo
submits to Fishman.

Third Fall: Fishman removes Octagon's mask, but loses his own in the
process. The referees disagree over who should be disqualified, with El
Tirante favoring the rudos and Pepe Casas favoring the tecnicos. The
difference is never resolved., but Perro Aguayo does manage to punch
out El Tirante in the dispute.

Right on all counts but one, Konan. Since the first two shows were not
broadcast here, you would not know this. Konan appeared on the first
show. He is very into this promotion. A mutual friend of Konan and
mine told me that Konan is in an administrative position with the
company. He is in charge of bringing in foreign talent. As a matter of
fact, Paco Alonso was so upset about Konan jumping that he he refused to
turn his valid working visa over to Antonio Pena. Also, with a possible
working relationship upcoming between Triple A and Titan, groan, Konan
appears to finally be on his way to Titan.

A friend of mine talked to Mike Shaw and was told that a lot of the guys
are shaky about jumping. There is a rumor that Blue Panther tried to
jump back and Paco would not take him. For now, the guys are biding
their time. Also, the working visas are an important fact, as Paco has
shown with Konan that he won't turn them over easily.

Not even one third. As you have seen, the undercards have been filled
with guys from the smaller promotions.

I agree. I have enjoyed them bigtime. The CMLL has also been great. I
have been posting reviews every week, but apparently, they have not all
made it up. From here on out, I will also send a copy E mail to someone
so that they can post them if they don't make it up.
