Results from matches held at Arena Coliseo, Mexico City, D.F. and
broadcast Sunday, April 26, 1992 over Galavision.

News:

Two new Japanese women this week. They call themselves Mita and Aquira.
Anybody know anything about them?

Popularity Ratings:

Faces Heels Women Midgets
----- ----- ----- -------
1 - Octagon Blue Panther Xochitl Hamada Octagoncito
2 - Atlantis La Fiera Martha Villalobos Mascarita Sagrada

6-Man Tag
---------
1 - Los Brazos
2 - Los Destructores

First Match:

Mita (Japan) and Aquira (Japan) (heels) vs. Lola Gonzalez (Mexico) and
Xochitl Hamada (Mexico) (faces). Gato Montini and Pancho Ramirez
(referees). Heels win 2/3 falls.

Aquira came to the ring wearing one of those outlandish No masks. She
took it off to reveal short red hair, blue face paint, and blue
lipstick beneath. In spite of this, she's quite attractive, as is her
partner Mita, whose appearance is much more conventional.

Despite her Japanese last name, Xochitl Hamada is a blond Mexican
woman. Does anybody know if she's married to UWA star El Gran Hamada?

First Fall: The fall featured a number of rather strange, extremely
choreographed spots leading to both Mexicans pinning both Japanese in a
pin set up by Lola Gonzalez' bow-and-arrow on Aquira.

Second Fall: Aquira gets Hamada to submit to a "scorpion death lock" as
does Mita on Gonzalez.

Third Fall: The heels win by countout after Aquira executes a
spectacular front flip plancha dive from the top turnbuckle onto both
Mexicans on the arena floor. Quite an impressive move.

Second Match:

Pequen~o Pierroth (masked - Mexico), Espectrito (masked - Mexico),
Piratita Morgan (Mexico) (heels) vs. Mascarita Sagrada (masked -
Mexico), Misteriocito (masked - Mexico), and Octagoncito (masked -
Mexico) (faces). Pancho Ramirez and Roberto Rangel (referees). Faces
win 2/3 falls.

Bruce Onder swears that they're passing off small teenage boys as
midgets here. He's especially dubious about Misteriocito (and he could
be right).

Translation refresher: Pequen~o Pierroth is "Little Pierroth."
Espectrito is "Little Spectre (or Phantom)." Piratita Morgan is "Little
Morgan the Pirate." Mascarita Sagrada is "Little Sacred Mask."
Misteriocito is "The Little Mysterious One." Octagoncito is "Little
Octagon."

Note that these guys all wear ring attire identical to their full sized
equivalents.

First Fall: Octagoncito pins Pequen~o Pierroth after a number of
spectacular spots (especially bumps) by Mascarita Sagrada. This little
guy does some of the best bumps in all of CMLL. He must be hard as
nails, because he always takes at least one full face posting in every
match I've ever seen him in. Ring dem bells!

Second Fall: Piratita pins Misteriocito.

Third Fall: Misteriocito pins Pierroth with a great package move. This
fall featured way too many spectacular moves to mention. Especially
noteworthy: Octagoncito does a rope walk a la Mark Calaway (using
Pierroth for balance) but surprises everybody by using it to do a
plancha dive onto Piratita on the arena floor.

After the match, the other rudos trash Pequen~o Pierroth for losing the
final fall.

Third Match:

Volador (masked - Mexico), Misterioso (masked - Mexico), Angel Azteca
(masked - Mexico) (faces) vs. Los Brazos: Brazo, Brazo de Oro, Brazo de
Plata (heels). Roberto Rangel and Gato Montini (referees). Heels win
2/3 falls.

Translation refresher: Volador can mean several things ("Flier,"
"Flying Fish"), but in this case it probably means "Sky Rocket."
Misterioso is "The Mysterious One." Angel Azteca is "The Aztec Angel."
Los Brazos are, literally, "The Arms." This word can also mean
"strength" or "power." Anyway, they are "The Arm," "The Golden Arm,"
and "The Silver Arm" aka "Super Porky."

First Fall: Brazo de Oro pins Volador while Porky sits on Misterioso.

Second Fall: Misterioso pins Brazo de Oro, Angel pins Brazo, and
Volador takes out Porky with a suicide plancha.

Third Fall: Porky uses a 747 to pins Volador.

Fourth Match:

La Fiera (Arturo Castro) (heel) vs. Black Magic (Norman Smiley) (face).
Gato Montini (referee). Magic wins 2/3 falls.

First Fall: Magic submits to an armbar after nearly 10 minutes of
unremitting punishment delivered to the arm.

Second Fall: La Fiera submits to a half crab after absorbing a great
deal of abuse to his back.

Third Fall: Black Magic pins La Fiera with a very well executed
belly-to-back suplex.

After the match, La Fiera calls Black Magic a "norteamericano" over the
house mic, then says Mexico doesn't need foreigners like Magic and Love
Machine. The crowd boos and whistles, then chants Smiley! Smiley!
Smiley!

Apparently it's OK to be British in Mexico. I guess that's one of the
few places the Brits never invaded :-) Unfortunately, we norteamericano
imperialists stole most of the western states from Mexico, so I guess
the likelihood of American wrestlers attaining much popularity down
there is pretty nil. Oh, well... :-)
