Results from Arena Mexico, Mexico City, D.F. broadcast over Galavision
on Sunday, February 16, 1992.

News: Love Machine (Art Barr) and Conan (Carlos Espata) were both back
from their WWF tryouts. Herb says Conan will begin working in the WWF
this Summer ... no word on The Juicer.

Popularity Ratings:

Faces Heels Women Midgets
----- ----- ----- -------
1 - Octagon Cien Caras Martha Villalobos Mascarita Sagrada
2 - Ultimo Dragon Pierroth La Sirenita Octagoncito

6-Man Tag Team
--------------
1 - Los Brazos
2 - Los Intocables (Jaque Mate, Masakre, Pierroth)

Surprise of the week: Huracan Sevilla (no idea why).

Move of the week: Ultimo Dragon's back flip plancha from the second
rope onto Blue Panther (from last week's telecast of a match held
Januray 31, 1992).

First Match:

Mina Chan (Japan (-:), Mary Chan (Japan (-:), and Zuleima (Mexico)
(faces) vs. Martha Villalobos (Mexico), Pantera Suren~a (Mexico), and
Wendy (Mexico) (heels); Pepe Casas and Pancho Ramirez (referees); faces
win 2/3 falls.

The most interesting aspect of this match was the insistence of the
announcers that the Chan sisters were Japanese. Not only is the name
Chan very definitely *Chinese*, the Christian names Mina and Mary are
hardly Japanese. Weird. Anyway, the Chans are pretty OK wrestlers (and
not too bad to look at, either).

First Fall: Martha Villalobos pins all 3 faces with a 747 plancha from
the top turnbuckle. Even the announcer referred to this as a
"siete-cuarenta-siete" (747) :-)

Second Fall: Zuleima delivers a suicide plancha to Martha on the floor
while the Chan sisters deliver simultaneous superplexes on Pantera and
Wendy for the pins.

Third Fall: The Chan sisters hit Martha with simultaneous drop kicks
from adjacent corner turnbuckles and pin her.

Second Match: La Fiera (Mexico), Sangre Chicana (USA-California), and
Bestia Salvaje (Mexico) (heels) vs. Love Machine (USA-Oregon), Apolo
Dantes (Mexico), and Huracan Sevilla (Mexico) (faces); Gato Montini and
Roberto Rangel (referees); heels win in straight falls.

This match featured lots and lots of interference on behalf of the
rudos from rudo referee Gato Montini. It also featured an entirely new
ring costume for Love Machine. The face of his mask is now formed from
a translucent (you can see out, but nobody can see in) heart and the
crown has lots of red, white, and blue fringe hanging from it. He no
longer wears a Jerry Lawler-like over-one-shoulder top. Otherwise, it
was the same old Art Barr :-)

First Fall: Love Machine submits to a pretzel hold from La Fiera.

Second Fall: Bestia Salvaje power bombs Hurcan Sevilla for the pin.

Third Match: Nitron (USA-Oklahoma), Fuerza Guerrera (Mexico), and
Pierroth, Jr. (Mexico) (heels) vs. El Vampiro Canadiense
(Canada-Ontario), Mascara Sagrada (Mexico), and Octagon (Mexico); Pepe
Casas and Roberto Rangel (referees); heels win 2/3 falls.

First Fall: Mascara Sagrada gets Pierroth to submit to a camel clutch
as El Vampiro clotheslines Nitron from the top rope.

Second Fall: Nitron pins Vampiro after executing a reverse neck
breaker.

Third Fall: Fuerza Guerrera pins Octagon with a schoolboy press.

Fourth Match: Los Hermanos Dinamitas (Cien Caras, Mascara An~o 2000,
Universo 2000 - all Mexico) heels vs. Aaron Grundy (USA-Michigan),
Solomon Grundy (USA-Tennessee), and Conan (USA-Florida; Cuba (-:); Gato
Montini and Roberto Rangel (referees); faces win 2/3 falls.

It's hard to get used to seeing Norman/Makhan Singh wearing overalls
and doing country boy shtick.

First Fall: Aaron Grundy pins Universo 2000, Solomon Grundy pins
Mascara An~o 2000, and Conan pins Cien Caras.

Second Fall: Mascara pins Aaron.

Third Fall: The Grundy brothers (sic) pin Universo 2000 and Mascara
An~o 2000 while Conan posts Cien Caras hard down on the arena floor.

.....Wouldn't the Juicer be a perfect gimmick for the WWF :-)

I always thought they should combine two of his previous personas and call
him "The Love Juicer". :-)
