Thank in advance,

Likely you are incorrect in your assumption. I can't think of anyone that has
purchased both. So all we can comment on is the weaknesses of the one we know.

Can anyone else please comment on the usefulness of the one set of books
they have purchased? (If I knew the answer I really wouldn't be asking.)

So which series did you read? Did you read the whole official manual
only but not any other book?

Cheers.

Assuming that you've got the CD-ROM, you might be able to take it to a
copy shop (Kinko's, etc) and have them print out a copy of the docs you
want -- if you can read 2-up printout (two page images on each side of
the sheet), most of the docs wouldn't kill *too* many trees...
Don't bother with Kinko's web-based service, though -- the docs are too
big to handle that way.

What type of file format do they accept for printing?
Thanks for the advice. Sadly no Kinkos in the UK but I will try a couple of
local copy-shops and see what they can do.

I did the one by one approach, and found that both Sybex and Osborne
gave bogus cd's at various times. Watch for specials at places like
http://www.computerbooksonline.com/special/default.htm amazon.com and
the test givers, but don't buy too much upfront unless you _know_ you
will have time to use it all. Don't try to use materials for other
versions of tests.

@home.com is bogus.

its the best. watch out for the used ones. I like to see atleast 300-400
responses before i buy.

Offhand, I remember Word, PDF, and raw text -- it's been a while since
tried it (after having been smacked back when trying to print the 9i
Concepts manual).
You might check their website for details -- it's fairly well done...

Careful... they sneak in when you least expect it -- there are three
locations in London.

Reed,
Blimey! We'll be getting Barnes and Noble next :)
Unfortunately I'm not in London but I'll certainly watch out for a store
opening near me soon - probably before you can say "Starbucks"! Thanks for
the warning.

If you send them the PDF version of the concepts manual, they should
be able to print it for you.
