Hello everyone,

I was looking around to find a way to import my emails from
Mozilla/Netscape 7 onto Microsoft Outlook 2002. But didn't find
anything published only questions about the procedure. It took me
almost 2 hours to figure it out but at last it worked it's a bit hard
but it's worth it.

First of all you need to download Eudora 5.x, http://www.eudora.com,
when you finish the installation it will ask you where you would like
to have your email folder chose the second option "c:\program
files\qulacom\eudora"

Now that Eudora is installed, open Mozilla or Netscape 7 and make sure
that your mail folders are under the root <your email account> not
under subfolders and your mail should be in "c:\documents and
settings\your folder\application data\mozilla\profiles\default\folder
name here is variable\mail\"

Open Eudora chose import from the file menu click advanced chose
Netscape Messenger click on browse under "Locate your prefs .js file"
and go to "c:\documents and settings\your folder\application
data\mozilla\profiles\default\folder name here is variable\" and click
on prefs.js

Eudora will start importing all your emails make sure that all your
emails are now in Eudora if everything is ok move all the mail boxes
"by clicking on the box and draging it" to the root menu under "Eudora
Folder" Once you finish close Eudora

Open Outlook Express (version 6 is prefered 4 doesn't work) click on
File => Import Messages click on Eudora Pro, Light (through V3.0)
click on browse now navigate to "C:\Program Files\Qualcom\Eudora\"
click on OK, Next and OE will start importing your emails once it
finishes it will give you a summary on how many emails were imported
and if it encountered any problems (In case you want to import to OE
only then Congratulations you have finished if you would like to
import them to Microsoft Outlook then read on)

Open Microsoft Outlook click on File => Import / Export click on
Import Internet Mail and Addresses click on Next and chose Outlook
Express 4.x, 5. Uncheck Import Address Book and Import Rules click
Next, Finish and Outlook will start the process.

Check that all your emails are there, Congratulations your done.

If you need any help or had any problem do not hesitate on emailing me
or Post a reply

Good Luck and Regards,
