I'm going to post this in pieces in an attempt to avoid the truncation
errors I've been experiencing. With any luck, this is only a temporary
workaround.

Face popularity rankings for week ending September 7, 1991:

1 - Octagon
2 - Atlantis
3 - El Vampiro Canadiense (Casanova)
4 - El Rayo de Jalisco, Jr.
5 - Conan

Heel popularity rankings for week ending September 7, 1991:

1 - Cien Caras
2 - Mascara An~o 2000
3 - Javier Cruz
4 - Perro Aguayo
5 - Pierroth, Jr.

News for the week: The organization formerly known as either the NWA or
EMLL (nobody seems to know for sure which was correct) has changed its
name to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, which translates as World
Wrestling Council (not to be confused with the WWC of Carlos Colon and
his knife wielding crew). So from now on, it's the CMLL.

The Galavision telecast is now called "Estrellas de la Lucha Libre," or
"Stars of Wrestling." They're getting more and more like the major US
federations with their promotional films, etc., and they actually
exceed anything I've seen with regard to how they announce the
wrestlers. As each wrestler is announced by the ring announcer, they
show a graphic of his or her face, his or her name (which is why you'll
see Eddie Guerrero spelled Eddy here - it's the Spanish spelling of the
name), and a list of titles currently or formerly held.

Surprise for the week: Mascara Sagrada and Pirata Morgan in one of the
most boring singles matches I've ever seen. I've seen Pirata work
singles before, and he was excellent. This one looked extremely under
rehearsed.
