Okay. Indy did drink from the Grail as well as his father, however
they both crossed the seal and the knight said the price of
immortality lies within the seal. So if they had stayed then yes
indeed they would have become immortal, but since they crossed the
seal the "spell" (or whatever you want to call it) was broken therby
rendering them mortal.
