I have downloaded the CanDo! demo that is floating around. Worth taking a
look at. It appears to easily surpass Ultracard in capabilities and overall
"look". It also doesn't look a thing like Hypercard. It looks a lot better.
I'm wondering if anyone actually has had a chance to use it yet, and would
be willing to pass along some notes. It's on my purchase list for the coming
year.

Right on Robert! In fact, I have UltraCard and a letter packaged and ready
to send back. I have taken a zero tolerance stand with this kind of trash.
I've tried using UltraCard on 4 different Amiga's, all with the same results.
What I have started doing is to let the developer's know that I want nothing
more from them, not an update, refund, NOTHING! And that I'll not purchase
any further products from the company.
Besides being a royal pain for us long time Amiga users, software this
flakey really puts off first-time buyers and strengthens the myth that
the Amiga is not a "stable" machine.
I've been in the computing business for more than 15 years and have
learned not to expect perfect - bug free software, but I do expect
it to be somewhat usable.
In a time when the honest supportive developers ( and the Amiga
itself) are struggling, we need fewer stories like yours and mine.

My stack was even easier. All I tried to do was load a backgroung iff file!!
It's a good thing I've got a robust hard disk, or I could have lost a lot of
data. UltraCARD is absolute shit. I've sent it back.
Regards Alan
Let's give them some informative feedback first and give them a chance.
Then....if no results....whammo: my money back please.
