Load SCO OpenServer release 5 from CD-ROM via the PC Parallel Port and save
installation time.

SCO have worked with Cristie to develop a method of
loading SCO OpenServer release 5 onto any PC using a parallel port CD-ROM
drive.

The parallel port connect CD-ROM package from Cristie, includes a Boot Time
Loadable Driver, a custom Installable device driver, and a Cristie Quad Speed
portable CD-ROM unit, to prepare the hard disc and load the operating system
from CD.

It is quick and easy to do, and allows the installation engineer to load their
chosen configuration from a portable unit, anywhere and without having to
rely on a host CD drive being built into the Server or PC at the installation
site. It is the ideal solution for putting SCO OpenServer release 5 onto
Laptops.

In addition to installation, the CD drive is suitable for the loading of other
SCO Open Systems Software, and is designed to make life easy for engineers
and laptop users, whilst increasing their installation productivity.
