Get a fucking life, you fat, sexless jackasses. No wonder Kurt snubbed his nose
at you. You're social rejects; have some fucking pride.

What does that have to do with Batman?

In article <#PKEZL65#GA.337@cpmsnbbsa03>,

It appears that Omar or one of his clones was at this year's San Diego
Pro/Fan Trivia match. Since almost as much of what makes the match fun as
the actual questions are the various jokes and comments made by both teams
before and during the match, and this year had a minor sub-theme of Batman,
I decided to take advantage of it. Bought a Batman Pez dispenser, and since
Alfred Day was one of the fan team members (along with myself, David Goldfarb,
and Jim Murdoch), the opportunity to play off having an "Alfred" on our
team was too good to pass up. So at the beginning of the match, I gave him
the Bat-Pez, and one on of the Batman related questions did an Adam Westish
"Alfred, the Bat-Pez!" command, to which Alfred responded by bringing over
the Pez and going "The Bat-Pez, sir" in a British accent. All with Alfred's
approval of making use of the name similarity.

The bit about Kurt (Busiek, one presumes, since he, Len Wein, Mark Waid,
and Marv Wolfman made up the pro team) snubbing his nose at me/us is complete
fiction as far as I can tell; it's possible that Kurt was making a response
of some sort to the joke as it happened, but as I was facing away from the
pro side of the table at the time I couldn't have seen it. And given that I
was chatting with Kurt and his family late this afternoon, a full day after
the match, with no indication of any sort of snubbing on Kurt's part, it's
either a joke Kurt did in the spirit of the match at the time, or complete
fiction.

So, it was just a silly joke done in the spirit of the Pro/Fan match which
has had many silly jokes over the years. Plenty of lives all around, save
for the Omar/clone.

Adam West,Frank Gorshin, and Julie Newmar were to be at the Con around
11am Sunday-word was they checked-in and were in the process of getting
their badges when lo-and-behold they disappeared. As of 2pm nobody had any
word as to their whereabouts-did they ever show?
