Any thoughts on the idea of neurodiversity pride: that is, that those who are
wired differently from what is considered the norm, are not BAD, or DISABLED
and don't need "fixing", but merely ...different? And are you tired of being
made to feel ASHAMED? Maybe you don't need "fixing": but are just YOU.

If you have a learning difference, what strengths, knowledge and/or wisdom
have you gained from your encounters and struggle with it? And if you have a
family member or friend with a learning difference, what have you learned
from this?

I think that all people who are different from the norm, should be proud of
this, because they add something unique to the mix that is humanity. And that
people who have to work extra hard, are stronger people.

If you believe this, go to: http://www.ldpride.net. I do not know the author
of the site personally, but feel that it is a great idea whose time has come.

Laurie
