Nost people have come across the acronym RTFM meaning Read The "Fine"
Manual which is used as a reply when somebody on a newsgroup or mailing
list asks a simple basic question that is answered right in the darn
manual thus w3asting everybody's time and establishing themselves as a
clueless idiot with no manners...

Some people say that the "F" doesn't stand for "Fine" but for something
much naughtier.

Anyway, now there is a new acronym STFW meaning Search The "Fine" Web
to be used as a reply in the same situation. Now that there are many
excellent Web search engines and the amount of information on the Web has
grown to phenomenal proportions it only makes sense to check these first
before resorting to a newsgroup or mailing list.

So next time somebody asks, "What is a Linux?", remember to tell them,

STFW!
