Hawaii swept the men of Troy tonight in a match that lasted just over
90 minutes. The scores were 15-10, 15-7, 15-7. I don't have any
stats because it was radio coverage only. Hawaii again dealt up
blistering serves that disrupted the USC offense. On the receiving
end of most of those bullets was Gabe Gardner. Someone definitely
scouted USC because UH started out at him and never let up. USC could
not take him out of the game because he is an integral part of the
offense (once it gets going). credit that one to the UH coaching
staff. Match 2 is tomorrow evening. Good news for the Bows...they
didn't need middle blocker Jason Ring. This gives him more time to
fully recover from the injury last week.
