clearing the air

As many of you know I have posted a number of messages
(mostly on alt.messianic) about Nazarene/Messianic Judaism. As
you also know I have recieved a lot of rebuke from Harvey Smith
and Donna Diorio. I have been compared to David Koresh, and my
writings called "cultish" and "heretical". Harvey has gone so
far as to label my teaching that the "sealed book" of Is.
29:11-12, 18 is the Tenach & Heb/Aram NT as being "heretical".
Even if I'm wrong, is this a point of heresy? I do not believe I
have posted anything which differs greatly from the UMJC
articals of faith, nor of the Articals of faith of the IAMJCS or
AMF.
However, it is apparant that certain individuals do not
like what I am teaching. Tonight (Sun. June 27) I recieved a
warning that if I do not stop posting by Thurs. July 1st, a
message will be posted in an effort to assasinate my character.
Nine months ago my wife and I were seperated. During this
time I commited adultry. I confessed this mater to my wife soon
thereafter, who, being angry, told two of my closest friends. I
confessed the matter to my friends and to the congregational
leader of a congregation I was attending, though not a member.
The three individuals present agreed that this matter would
never be spoken of to anyone else. This was an intensly personal
matterbetween my wife and myself. My wife and I have now been
reconciled for several months. Everything is fine between my
wife and I and getting even better as we continue to see a
marraige counciler. This matter should have remained a private
matter between my wife and myself and really is no one elses
buisiness. It is certainly irrelevant to the truth of my
writings.
I have therefore, been faced with a difficult decision. I
can:
1. Yield to what amounts to "blackmail" and stop posting
even though I feel strongly that G-d is leading me to
teach these things.
2. Continue posting and allow my character to be
attacked.
3. Reveal all of this myself.
Should I stop teaching because certain men do not like it?
Should I continue posting and allow the personal attacks?
I would like to take this opertunity to apologize to my wife for
being subjected to this kind of embarasment because some people
don't like what I am writing.
Please examine my articals on their own merits, checking
them out with the Scriptures, aside from pesonal attacks.
I know that I have reconciled this with the L-rd and that
the price has been paid. Anyone who has read my artical on Law
knows that I do not believe that this gives me an excuse to sin.

Don't even bother with those who would "blackmail" you. Expose their
juvenile tactics by name and ignore them as the rest of us will. Just
because we don't agree is no cause to clam up. b"h

Mr Trimm,
I don't agree with much of what you post. I am however appalled that
anyone would go to the length of trying to silence you with personal
blackmail. Carry on, and don't let such people discourage you.

I often learn more from the ones I initially disagree with. At the very
least, it makes me think. If someone is going to assassinate character,
just put on the full armor of God as described in Ephesesians 6:13-18.
As to the premeditated flaming, I wonder if the culprit wants us to identify
him with "the fiery darts of the wicked" (Eph. 6:16).

I was not going to name names unless the blackmailer came through
However, he/they have posted on the MJCN and I expect a post on
alt.messianic as well. I received the warning to stop posting by Thrusday
or else from Bill Carlson who told me that there were about 20 people
involved who could be described as "UMJC leaders". I do not know if Bill
posted on alt.messianic, since he has only FIDONET access and not real
time access. His message will probally appear soon.

James, since Harvey is out of town for the week I will make the
first answer of this.
First, the warning you received no doubt only concerned posting on
the Messianic Jewish Computer Network of which Harvey is the Moderator.
It lies within his responsibility to cut you off there, and in fact, it
is an action in response to complaint from your (apparently) former
spiritual leader, Rabbi Eisenberg:

You try to make yourself out to be the innocent victim of character
assassination when the truth is that you have discredited your own
character through rebellion. That you were put on probation in the Ft
Worth congregation--for the purpose of rehabilitation--but you chose
rather to refuse this and to launch your own sect, Nazarene Judaism,
most certainly does disqualify you from being received by MJCN and any
other UMJC-affiliated congregation or organization.
Finally we are getting to the source of your anti-UMJC and MJAA
postings....which was as I discerned as rebellion from the beginning of
your postings (without any knowledge of you other than your own posts).
So you see, James, the spirit which you are operating in *is* discern-
ible.
If you are in rebellion from the spiritual authority in your life,
then you should not expect to be welcomed with open arms by other UMJC
affliated congregations and members. Your sin is not one that is
strictly between your self and your wife but can taint any congregation
that you join yourself to....that is clear from Sha'ul's handling of
this sin in 1 Corinthians 5. You may also be restored as is clear in
Sha'ul's direction to the same congregation in 2 Cor 2....but until you
satisify the restoration process, you are to be shunned as a heathen.
Whether others here see the wisdom of spiritual judicial process
currently applied to you is really neither here nor there--but you
should understand that UMJC folks will have no use whatsoever for your
teachings as long as you remain in spiritual rebellion.
