We are looking for people to help Alpha test HotDog, an HTML author for
Windows. Some of the features of HotDog are:

* supports HTML 3 and NetScape elements, including tables, figures,
banners, backgrounds, blinking text, different font sizes and colours

* accepts drag and drop of images, HTML, and plain text from Windows File
Manager and from its own internal file manager

* dialogs to easily create complex elements

* on-screen roll-ups of all tags and entities for easy drag-drop into
your document

* can automatically convert HTM references to HTML for UNIX platforms

* Auto-save function!

* Windows 95-style interface

Alpha-testers do not have to be computer experts, although some knowledge
of HTML would be desirable. All you need is a willingness to let us know
about any bugs you find, and what you like/don't like about the program.

If you are interested in joining our test program then please reply to
this message by e-mail. A copy of HotDog will be mailed to you as a MIME
attachment.

Count me in, I'll give it a go, we are constantly developing our site and I'm actively trying
any authoring software I can lay my hands on.

I'm using a PC with Windoze 3.1 DOS 6.2 just in case this matters.

There is a reason the ZIP file is encrypted. I'm sure my Alpha testers
are smart enough not to post the password! 8*)

HotDog is not publicly available on the Internet yet, it is in ALPHA
test. Like all Alpha software it has bugs, and is some time away from
final release.

If you want a better HTML editor, wait until HotDog is publicly
released. If you want to participate in the testing programme and provide
feedback to us, please join.

The file README.TXT at the FTP site explains how to get on the HotDog
Alpha Test Programme. If you are interested:

FTP to

sausage.clever.net

directory

pub/sausage

read the file README.TXT

send e-mail to sau...@netspace.net.au with the word HotDog in the
subject or body of the message

wait a few days for notification by mail of the password for the ZIP
file.

May I be so bold as to suggest you take a better look at the headers
of the documents you quote. Sometimes they *do* carry interesting
information.
If you can't read, you *do need* a helping hand.

This is odd! So many people in this thread have said that they have
downloaded the software; or have told us to Email _someone_ to get
more information, rather than "me Too".

No one has bothered to mention what the email address, or FTP site is.

A helping hand would be appreciated. Some of us turned up late and
missed the original post.

If you would like to join the HotDog alpha test programme, send e-mail to
sau...@netspace.net.au

This program is in "Alpha" test. This means it's an earlier version than
a "beta". This also means that the program has bugs, and may be
completely different now from what is actually released.

If you're interested in contributing ideas and reporting any bugs you
find so we can fix them, then you're welcome to join our test programme
by e-mailing us, as directed above. If you're not happy with current HTML
editors and want to try a new one, wait until HotDog is officially
released.

Rather than continuing a huge thred of Me Too messages that has been going on
for months now (the entire testing phase), everyone can go to
http://www.sausage.com/ and get the thing...

It is an excellent product (compared to everything else I've used anyway :)

I'd like to personally apologise to all readers of this newsgroup for all
the "me toos" on this topic. We posted a single message asking for
testers, almost three months ago now. If anyone has any suggestions on
