I need a PCI SCSI controller just to read an old tape once to a new 5.0.7
machine with nothing but PCI slots. At the moment, I don't have a single
SCO compatible card I can use. I hate to spend a few hundred dollars just
for this, so I'm heading out to Ebay to scout for something but if anyone
here has anything they'd like to sell..

BTW, this is an old 50 pin drive, so something like a 2940 is what I'd want.

Also, I'm in the U.S.A :-)

I would like to purchase a notebook and install 5.0.7, but it seems that
there is no SCO or manufacturers support for the new video chips. SCO
claims that the supplementary release in June will have the drivers, but
I haven't seen that release yet. Any suggestions?

We've recently posted a driver for NVidia graphics chips, which I
believe are fairly common in current laptops. See:

Read the text. It talks about specific NVidia chips. I'm not all that
familiar with their hardware, but the way it talks about specific chips
makes me think there are probably chips on the market that are not
supported by this driver, so be sure to match things up correctly.
