I am wanting to set a progam to run as a service on 2000
server (and also XP machines). Some programs give you
this option upon installation. I don't see anywhere
to "add service" in the MMC services control panel. I
assume I could probably edit one of the unused services
and change the path to what I want it to do, but is there
an easy way to just add one.
I don't want to have to log into the console it to run.
Thanks

work on Win2k and WinXP.

Thank you both, I had searched the articles, just hadn't
got the right sequence of keywords I guess. And thanks
for the freeware info too!
Sincerely, Mike
