1. IMMORTAL GRAPPLE and GHOUL RETAINER. Is it possible for a Minion
with a GR, that the Retainer uses i. e. a Gun against the opposing
Minion who played IG?
2. CARRION CROWS, GHOUL RETAINER, WOLF COMPANIN etc. and PULLED FANGS.
Is the damage from CC, GR, WC dealt by the minion? So, is it possible
to play PF after doing 2 damage (hand strike for 1 + CC inferior)[when
the opposing minion does only one or less]?
3. During the last tournament a player wanted to play a Master:Skill
on an uncontrolled vampire, because of card text "play on a vampire".
Is this possible?
4. A minion played both UNDEAD PERSISTENCE and IG. He has two optional
presses. Can he use one to press for second round and safe the other
to press later for third round?
5. Is it possible to play more than one Trap each round for more than
one press or to get rid of cards?
6. Is it possible to prevent 2 points of damage with two SKIN OF ROCK
inferior?
7. Lucian is bleeding with Bonding, Sir Walter Nash is tapped but
plays 2nd Tradition. Can he play now DEFLECTION instead of blocking,
when Lucian plays no more stealth?
Greetings.
Yes.

No to all three.
So, no.

> Is this possible?
No, because of the rules [1.6.1.5]

No. Effects of combat cards apply only to the current round by default.

Yes, but only on the first round.

Yes.

No. He must attempt to block by card text on 2nd Tradition.

Yes.
The GR isn't striking, it's just doing damage.
>2. CARRION CROWS, GHOUL RETAINER, WOLF COMPANIN etc. and PULLED FANGS.
>Is the damage from CC, GR, WC dealt by the minion?
No.
> So, is it possible

No.
>3. During the last tournament a player wanted to play a Master:Skill
>on an uncontrolled vampire, because of card text "play on a vampire".
>Is this possible?
No. By default, all cards must be played on controlled, uncontested
vampires.
>4. A minion played both UNDEAD PERSISTENCE and IG. He has two optional
>presses. Can he use one to press for second round and safe the other
>to press later for third round?
No. The default for all effects generated in combat is that they expire
at the end of the round, unless otherwise stated.
>5. Is it possible to play more than one Trap each round for more than
>one press or to get rid of cards?
You can play more than one on the first round, certainly. You cannot
play them on other rounds (card text).
>6. Is it possible to prevent 2 points of damage with two SKIN OF ROCK
>inferior?
Yes. You prevent one with the first, you prevent one with the second.
>7. Lucian is bleeding with Bonding, Sir Walter Nash is tapped but
>plays 2nd Tradition. Can he play now DEFLECTION instead of blocking,
>when Lucian plays no more stealth?
No. He must attempt to block. When in a block attempt, you cannot back
out (unless you fail to generate enough stealth etc.)

oh my !
i don't want to interfere, but it is really the VEKN Prince of Berlin who's
asking those questions ? there is no requirement for being a prince ? How
can a prince who doesn't know this kind of basic knowledge run tournaments,
or serve as a judge during tournaments ? LSJ ?
Hey ! I can be a prince too ;)
reyda
The prince doesn't have to be head judge, though this can be useful.
Anyone who would like to be the coordinator/promoter of V:TES in his or her
area can be a prince. Criticizing a volunteer who does his job (and, in this
case, seems to be actively seeking to improve his ability to promote the game)
doesn't seem very productive.
If there's no prince in your area and you'd like to volunteer to do the
work, we'd be happy to have you. See the web page for further information.

Just a reply to precise : I didn't want to harm anyone. If it sounded as bad
behaviour, all my apologies to the concerned person. i was just assuming
that, to be a prince, you had to master all the basic rules of jyhad. I was
not being aware of what being a prince means. I just asked, in my casual
manner.

I'll check ! but i live in paris, and there's a Prince of Paris already ;)
so may i apply for an other title like Prince of Pere Lachaise instead ?
Again, i was just suprised, thinking that a prince was supposed to know the
basic rules.
I will never blame anyone for asking rules questions : this is what this
forum is here for, i think ! if not here, where could we have LSJ's logical
and pondered answers ?

Reyda!! Don't you dare apply for the title of Shock Troops leader, also
known as Papy Shock Troops! I own it already ;-)
or maybe you could set up a conspiracy to deprieve the Prince of his title??
some kind of evil plot bred over the centuries...;-)
Stone
Hmmm... I'd rather try to become Archbishop of Paris, or try to steal
Clebros's title since he can't block me... Hey, i remember i should then
forfeit my old title : i'm the Harpy of the ParisVekn -i write tournament
reports and thing...
