I got :

Maybe this is because in the letter that accompanies the patch says that first
you have to install oss601a patch for the Software manager first and then the
Year 2000 componenet.
So I tried :
custom -p SCO:SLS -i SCO:SoftMgr -z /tmp/y2k
and I got:
These packages were not found:
SCO:SoftMgr
Maybe somebody can point me to a source where I can find the correct name for
those packages. I did use customquery and I got :
SCO:SoftMgr::oss601a.SoftMgr101
SCO:SoftMgr:SharedControl::oss601a.SoftMgr101
SCO:SoftMgr:ClientControl::oss601a.SoftMgr101
SCO:SoftMgr:CUSTOM::oss601a.SoftMgr101
None of those worked.
Thanks,
Oss601a y2k patch is for both OSR 5.0.2 and OSR5.0.4
For OSR 5.0.4:
First:
/etc/custom -p SCO:SoftMgr -i -z
/directory_where_you_have_VOL.00x.000_files
Then:
/etc/custom -p SCO:SLS -i -z
/directory_where_you_have_VOL.00x.000_files
For OSR 5.0.2:
Only:
/etc/custom -p SCO:SLS -A -z
/directory_where_you_have_VOL.00x.000_files
The Software Manager portion of oss601a is only for OSR5.0.4
There are some ta's about installing patches from command line:

Since this cryptic message appears often, and since its
not a TA, I'll mention it now. This means that one of the
dependencies of this patch has not been installed, as required.
It your case, it looked like the software manager patch was not installed
prior to the other p[ortion.
