PSINet 500Kbps WAN Service

International, Inc. (PSI), today announced that PSI will extend it's
current Standard Connection Services with a 500kbps offering.
This compliments the 9.6kbps, 19.2kbps, 56kbps and T1
(1.544Mbps) speeds already used by PSI customers.
"Our objective is to continue giving customers the supported
services they demand. There is a growing market for this level of
performance. PSI is uniquely qualified to add this capability to its
suite of electronic information and computer networking
products," said Schoffstall.
The Standard Connection Service is PSI's flagship product and
represents a fully supported and maintained connection of the
customer's Local Area Network (LAN) to PSI's Wide Area Network
(WAN) infrastructure and also the global Internet. This new
service provides an excellent opportunity for users to take
advantage of high-performance computer networking in a reliable
and cost-effective manner.
This new service relies on fractional T1 services and DSU/CSU
technology from Digital Link Corporation of Sunnyvale, California.
Tac Berry, Vice President of Marketing for Digital Link,

allows customers to take advantage of higher performance
computer networking while using only the bandwidth they
require."
The SCS is augmented with individual dialup access in many
metropolitan areas, electronic WhitePages directories, field
service teams and a 24 hour/day Network Operations Center.
Other products of PSI are their UUCP Mail & USENET/NEWS and
Network Management software systems.
