I would like to get some feedback about a product I made to carry
longboards and would like your comments on what you think if you can
spare a couple of minutes .
Its called " Joecaddy "
Made to carry either 1 , 2 or 3 longboards , cooler , umbrella ,
backpack , and even boogie boards or beach chairs all on the caddy .
Other option would be more shorter boards , cooler , umbrella .ect
, ect .
Main application for the use for the caddy is having to take your
gear if you have to walk a distance to the beach for example , San O
trails , Trestles , or beaches hard to access by road like Mexico and
other destinations abroad .
Unlike the slings you carry on your shoulder that carry only
" 1 " board and blow you around like you have a parachute attached
this is not affected by wind as it lays down , with durable wide tires
it pulls on the sand with ease .
The " Joecaddy " will now eliminate the pack mule feeling before
and at the end of the day , and carry no more ! .
Only one hand is needed to carry the " Joecaddy and with a max
tongue weight of 5 to 7 pounds , it weights 21 pounds and made of
corrosion free material .
Finally a carrier that man , woman or even child can carry not " 1"
but up to many boards and beach gear with total ease .
Ideal for families , groups , surf schools or just any single guy
having to bear a load and not wanting to be a pack mule .
http://members.home.net/jonak
I have a reply e-mail for your comments on the Joecaddy page and I
really would like your comments , good or bad !!! .
Thanks for your time , Joe " Joecaddy " Jonak .

Don't you mean to say "Ideal for weak and lazy people."

I'm pretending I didn't see that thing.

I truly gasped when I saw that monstrosity.

I'd probably be nicer if you were someone that just didn't come in here and

That ought to help you out a bit, but dear god, I'm pretending i didn't see

My only comment and feedback is that you should go out and do some
market research instead of sitting on your duff and trying to do it the
lazy way here.

If you were asking questions about surfing rather than trying to make $$
off it, I would give you an answer. This is about one step away from
advertising on the internet.

OH MY GOD (LOLWTTT) <---laughing out loud while trying to type

Don't you think it would be a pisser to get wasted
and wheel your friends around on it like a rikashaw?

THAT, my friends, would be the best use for it!

How about posting a picture of you going down the steepest part of the
trail to Blacks with handy Joecaddy loaded with three longboards, a
cooler, and your beach chairs? That would show something.

Why is the water only moving in that onshore rip-like currrent
where the "point" is, and not everywhere along the "coast?"

Awww, come on. Go easy on the guy. Seriously, if you want an honest opinion,
do this: Load up a couple boards on it and take it to PV or Trestles and ask
the surfers there what they think of it. Make sure sure you wear a Hawaiian
shirt and a big inland grin!

oh, and i supposedly spend too much time with a surfmag in my hands. whoa boy,
"gidget" surely means business with that insight and comment. i am sitting
here cracking up at the thought of actually seeing someone trolling that thing
along behind them. cant you see it? beach towel slung over his lilly-white
shoulders, one spindly arm grasps the contraption, the other flexes to retain
command over a bottle of "coppertone" tanning oil. all the other surfers in
the parking lot or on the beach when he arrives gasp in harmony, exclaiming to
theselves "now, there is one cool dude who is really hip on the latest surfing
accessories. hey guys, he gets all the waves he wants!"

man, talk about "kook-like qualities", gidgets gadget is the new definition of
the term.

nice try gidget, but there aint no way you are going to turn the tables on this
one. you are at ground zero dude, or are you a male or female? gidget is a
feminine name for sure, but any male who "invents" a longboard rickshaw like
that is also certainly deserving of the moniker "gidget".

Well, most of the replies did hammer ya, so I guess this
can only be expected in return. The only problem is that
you are in a state of denial, both about your product,
and about the fact (I think) that most of the people who
replied *do* surf.

To tell you the truth, when I saw your page, I thought it
was Lemming or someone casting out a very attractive lure.
That may still be the case, but I have been tending to take
the bait lately just cause I want to. So, if you *really*
want to know what I'm thinking:

1) I don't think that thing will work at all.
a) It looks too poorly made.

b) I don't think it would hold as much as you say, nor
would it do well on anything other than gently sloping
terrain.

c) I don't see how those two, thin "holders" can support
all the things you say. Even if it could, I would
think any shift to one side or the other would send
everything crashing. That's bad enough on flat
terrain, it would be worse on a hill, cliff, or
other steep incline, and set yourself up for lawsuits
from people who wanna replace their quivers. Unless,
ofcourse, you put a helluva long warning or disclaimer
sticker on it listing the umpteen million conditions/
ways it shouldn't be used in. (Including prohibiting
Jb and Carson from using it as a rickashaw)

d) If I'm interpreting it correctly, the boards and whatever
else would be loaded horizontally, or crossways, as opposed
to up and down. If this is correct, that would cause
problems too. Most trails and access paths are narrow.
It would be difficult to get the gear to fit through
the path in that configuration.....Or, in a crowded spot,
you'd be constantly aplogizing to all the people you
send diving off the trail for cover when they see that
contraption coming at them.

e) The wheels look too thin. If you put everyting on
it you say can fit, I would think it would dig down in the
sand and be a bitch to move.

2) I'll look at it again.

3) About the water: Is it really just my computer, or are
ya joking me?

4) Isn't that big ol' flower WAY out of proportion to the
rest of the page?

now that's a perceptive and endearing comment.

you know, when i clicked to your page i was imaganing some sort of
hybrid vehicle, equipped to transport boards and supplies, but all i saw
was an overgrown golf cart with virtually no capacity to accomodate
anything other than a couple of sticks, with the rest of your gear piled

yep that's geo. he's just an ascii surfer. in fact we all are. we
don't actually surf, that's in some other ng. hey have you surfed the new
P3 yet ? how many megs do you use for fins ? is your stick ky2 complaint
yet ?

oh yeah, surfer.mag rulez. i tried looking at The Surfer's Journal the
other day and man is that thing wordy. and what's with all the wide angle
pictures ? and why don't they have ads showing my favorite pros ? who
wants to see the beach and perspective from a distance, and articles about

that stuff don't have all the disposable income we have, and their so
called water experience only makes them critical and jaded about new
ideas.

dude, spam is spam, what are you saying ? you have a strong
inferiority complex, bro. you should attempt to actually *see* your
product in the bright light, not in a vision. the spelling card. we
knew you would hit that early. could you post some more zuma ? we have a 5
post minimum for ASKOTY, but frankly you would'nt be top 3 if the vote was
today.

i hate to use this but, are fragmented and run on sentences "proper"
?

I looked at it again, and still don't think it will work.
The "holders" are a little wider than I thought, but I still
don't think it's enough to support the equipment you propose.
You'd still have balance problems. Additionally, the handle,
being like it is, would only add to the balance problem.
If the whole contraption started to list to one side or
the other, there's not much there to grab on to to stabilize
it, it would just twist in your hand and probably tear the
skin off (another thing to be added to your disclaimer label).
My other observations noted earlier still hold. I think you
should throw this one on the heap, or market it in the
tourist trap shops.

The following still apply too:

If you had been around newsgroups for a while you would know that
correcting spelling and grammatical mistakes is bad net etiquette.
Usenet is an international forum and open to the educated and
uneducated alike. To suppose that English is everyone's first language
and that posts with correct spelling and grammar are the only posts
that can contain relevant concepts and ideas, is contrary to the whole
global concept of Usenet.

Posters that resort to pointing out spelling and grammar deficiencies
are ignorant of Usenet ideals or have an indefensible position in a
discussion and sink to cheap shots.

My guess is that you have taken an indefensible position, as I can't
imagine anyone showing up at my breaks with a contraption like that.
They would just become the brunt of too many jokes for too many years.
If you are here to do market research, then heed the results. If
you're here spamming, well that's a whole other Usenet Protocol
problem, isn't it?

We ARE surfers telling you your contraption stinks. You asked for it
you got it. Dont get so defensive about your rickshaw. I think your
target market is something other than surfers. Your best bet is to pimp
your wares on a tourist area, maybe a daily rental thing, like bicycles.
Come back in a year and give us an update on how many you sell. If you
sell more than 100, Ill eat a dead dogs dick.

No lie. You better watch it Homefront, you may have just unknowingly
helped the guy out selling his contraption. The bad thing, though,
is that when he sees sales go through the roof, he may actually
think it is because he has a good product.

Homefruit. No worries, bro. Can you really imagine surfers buying that "thing?"

Even if it was an alt.surfing conspiracy, what would we all do with the kook
machine?

Pari-mutual Rickshaw Races. Not only does it sell the damned things, it
gives all those lunatic joggers an outlet for their adrenaline, meaningless
competition and an excuse to do steroids. Hey, it may sound crazy, but no
