ok enough self promoting), when i found a couple of pictures of an arcee
prototype on someones webpage. since a lot of people were asking about
it, i figured i might as well post the location (hope the person whos

That's the old vinyl Arcee model kit.

Now if you want to see something VERY VERY cool, go here:

Hasbro/Takara should hire the guy who made this!!!!

That is a very cool looking toy. I just wish that I could have read what
the page said, but that aside, it shows that making an Arcee toy is possible.
There was another Arcee made out of paper at Botcon,. It also transformed and
thought that looked pretty cool as well. A picture of is out there somewhere.
But we probably won't be getting Transformers vehicles like this one any
time soon, if ever, thanks to the failure of Machine Wars. Infact, this Arcee
toy is what Machine Wars should have looked like, and should not have been an
exclusive to Kay-Bee.

I remember reading somewhere that if Machine Wars did well, thier would
be an Arcee figure, not to mention a Hot Rod and a Shockwave produced in
early 1998. Well, I waited till the end of summer before I finnally gave
up hope on the project. The Machine Wars were a faliure because the toys
were cheap and except for possibly Sandstorm, none of the toys matched
the charcters. I think the chances of an Arcee figure that we actually
like are very slim. I think that BotCon could do a good one, but the
convention figures have to be pre existing. If the prototype still
exists and someone could copy it, it would be one of,if not the most
sought after toy in history. But I think the closest thing to a "real"
Arcee toy (unless you build your own)is the ultra rare Jap. model kit.
It is not a toy, but it is close enough,I think.

Yeah; that Arcee was the winning entry in the custom Transformer contest.
I think there are a few others on that web site like a Gobots Trailbreaker and
such, but that Arcee must've really stolen the show.

Anyone have an idea as to what the aqua and purple colored Windcharger was
supposed to be? Sixshot maybe?

Impressive. I like the thing. You know it's funny for years there were
no action figure toys with women in them because they don't sell. The
reason I cite is because of the stigmata that the females shouldn't
play with Guy stuff. Shows what the toy companies know about guys and
gals.

It says it's a character named "Wipe-Out" that appeared in Marvel Comic's
Transformers #27, an ally to Trypticon.

I am not sure we will ever get an Arcee figure period. Can you imagine how
Arcee would have looked if she was included in Machine Wars? She probably
would have looked nothing like the one we know. The same goes for Hot Rod and
Shockwave, who probably would have been dump trucks, assuming that they were
going to have new molds and not just repaint Skywarp again. Machine Wars were
most likely never going to aproach the quality of any of the previous lines
or Beast Wars. I mean four of the smaller figures were repaints of the other
four. You know the line is trouble when half of the regular figures are
repaints, large figures are UK repaints, and is stuck only in Kay-Bee stores
with prices slashed almost immediately. The only thing that saves the smaller
figures from being totally bad is there posibility, but that simply wasn't
enough to justify this poor effort.

Your right about the Arcee Machine Wars toy. It would proably be a bus
or something. I think EVENTUALLY there will be an Arcee figure in some
form, possibly even Beast Wars. I also think it could be a while. It
would seem as if some of the TF most popular figures never made it
production. Like......
Alpha Trion
Elita One
Skyfire (unless you count Jetfire)
Quintesons (I hope that is spelled right)
Unicron
And even Daniel and Spike
All this while the stores were cramed with charcters like Seaspray and
the Jumpstarters.
Why go through all the trouble of creating a charcter if you are not
going to produce them. Granted, the show needed a human, something that
is lacking in beast wars, and the movie needed a BIG bad guy, but the
rest did not HAVE to be on the show. So,why go through paying someone
to do the voice, and creating a detailed charcter if you are not going
to produce a toy? This is a problem I have always had with Hasbro.

Teensy, teensy nitpick.

I think you meant to say "stigma", which is "a mark of disgrace, or
reproach".

Unless they actually *made* the "Christ"former toy that was mentioned a
couple months ago (A mythical "christ on a crucifix" toy that tfs into some
giant monster. Unconfirmed rumour only.), I don't believe there'd be any
"stigmata", or marks on the palms (etc)...
