Hi Robert ...

Just noticed that your below attached posting
got cancelled. What's the matter? Does the
Cancel Cabal not want people to realize that:

1. HipCrime's NewsAgent really really works.

2. There are lots of open NNTP servers around.

3. It is possible to change locations each and
every day, thus making it impossible to stop.

4. When a few more people use it, cancels will
be dead (and the Cancel Cabal will lose its
already tarnished luster).

Anyway, just wanted to help out, by reposting
your last two "HipCrime has Moved! (again)"
announcements. Enquiring minds want to know!

... HipCrime

P.S. HipCrime's NewsAgent (v0.08) is now
available for public download, so anybody
who wants in on the cancel-game should get
in touch with me to obtain a download URL.

No, it didn't. You're imagining things.

Yawn. So? Vulis's bot works (both the original, and the malicious
Windows version). So did Enlow's. It's not as though you're the first
person to write one.

hipcrime> 2. There are lots of open NNTP servers around.

We know.

Do *you* know how many of them are traps laid specifically for you
or other abusers?

hipcrime> 3. It is possible to change locations each and every day,
hipcrime> thus making it impossible to stop.

Nah. You've not provoked any real counter-efforts yet.

hipcrime> 4. When a few more people use it, cancels will be dead (and
hipcrime> the Cancel Cabal will lose its already tarnished luster).

Vulis said that a couple of years ago. Enlow said it last year. Don't
you get the message yet?

Hi Andrew ...

Sure, there's other cancelAgents on the 'net,
but for some reason, they seem to be hard to
obtain. Not so, with HipCrime's NewsAgent.

And yes, know full well that many open servers
are traps. That's exactly why Doug Spamless had
asked me to lay off of COSMO.LEGATO.COM, because
it was a kind of trap he had set for someone else.

Doesn't matter, since NakedNNTP can find lots more.

Besides, what're you gonna trap? Throwaway and
public-freebie accounts are no big deal. Surely
you know that.

As for the death of cancels, we all have our own
opinions, and only time (and netizens' choices)
will tell. Doesn't matter to me one way or the
other, but it *is* interesting to watch things
play themselves out.

... HipCrime

P.S. If these postings didn't get cancelled,
they why aren't they showing up in the
various newsfeeds and archives?

Not in your part of the world, they're not.

hipcrime> As for the death of cancels, we all have our own opinions,

YM "admin's choices". Users have very little to do with it.

hipcrime> will tell. Doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but
hipcrime> it *is* interesting to watch things play themselves out.

So why are you trying to influence the outcome? If you're thinking
that this will somehow make spamming easier, then you're much
mistaken; filters, NoCeM-on-spool, filter streams, etc. etc. are all
available as alternatives, and you can do precisely nothing to
interfere with any of them. If anything, that will concentrate power
even more in the hands of a few people, the filter writers and the
NoCeM-issuers; is that really what you want?

So as an attack on the Evil Censorious Cancelling Cabal (which really
*doesn't* exist) it rather backfires, doesn't it?

hipcrime> P.S. If these postings didn't get cancelled, they why
hipcrime> aren't they showing up in the various newsfeeds and

Funny, I'm not having any trouble finding them, and I don't see any
cancels for them either.

It is unfortunate that some people take a 2x4 across the side of the head
before they understand what you're talking about. "Free Speech" doesn't
seem to mean anything -- but "cancels" on the other hand -- is the
"language" that some of the scum "talk".

Now you're talking in their language. I think they'll be listening now.
Perhaps we can finally get to what is supposed to be going on -- once we
have their attention -- it's called "free speech."

Got it yet -- guys and girls??

>

Better to have an empty one -- rather than have it inhabited by net-scum.
On the other hand, if the "net-scum" get smart -- perhaps they'll "get the
religion" and get with free speech.

Keep up your political statement HipCrime. Certainly ordinary words and
normal logic don't work with gang-mentality. Only a shootout does.

Does your news server allow forged cancels? That promotes censorship
on content. A UseNet Death Penalty was issued because of my warning
about a crooked ISP -- ** Texas.Net ** -- cheating the customers.
Complain in a post to austin.internet about the UDP and censorship!!
