Harry Lee, is there CORRUPTION involved in the small arms industry?

I've already mentioned that HDB-land did not sign the Land Mine
Treaty last year (the only ASEAN country) to the blank faces of
the small blue world inhabitants.
Why? Why? Why?
Why the silence of the media? Why this secrecy? What is Lee hiding?
Who is controlling the arms industry? What is its purpose?
What would be the reactions of Malaysians/U.S. if .sg mines are
found in Bosnia/Iraq?
May I remind that the regretted Diana, Princess of Wales, was
a tireless campaigner for the APM cause.
I only assume that, once again, Harry Lee intends to continue
to trade small arms with various outcast nations or in regional
tensions theaters (Burma, Cambodia, Sri Lanka? Israel?). Now Iraq.
I also assume that the small arms industry, including the
manufacturing of personal land mines, will continue unabated and
without any Parliamentary or any other supervision.
When will somebody check what Lee is doing with all those mili- <-------------------
tary deals? Just like all the other places in the world, including
and foremost in the West(!) (1), the arms industry and dealings are
very opaque, secretive and always involve corruption in one form
or another.
IF SO, CORRUPTION IN FAVOR OF WHO?
After nepotism and collusion, we might have to associate corruption
to Singapore. Could the kkn (korupsi, kolusi dan nepotisme) plague
thrive in HDB-land after all?
The complete indifference of Singaporeans is regrettable as
that policy only increase sufferings of civilians just as the
support of the Burmese junta by Lee prolongs Burmese sufferings
or the indifference to the plight of Indo-Chinese.
But then HDB-land people couldn't care less for others sufferings
or maimings.
They have their little flat, little car, little wife, little life
and little security to attend to.
P.S.: Maybe Harry intends to use land mines to protect HDB-land
from an invasion by the barbarians. He still thinks they
are at the gate!
(1) In the last 2 years, there were kickback scandals in France,
Belgium, Sweden and India. I am not even talking of countries
like Vietnam, China .id or .my.

In May 1996 Singapore declared a two-year limited moratorium on exports of non-self destruct and non-detectable antipersonnel mines. However, it
has maintained that antipersonnel landmines are needed for "legitimate self-defense." Singapore voted "Yes" on UNGA Resolution 51/45S, but did
not endorse the Brussels declaration and attended the Oslo negotiations only as an observer.
