Nackgammon is a variant of backgammon in which both players start
with four checkers back. It was invented by the great California
champion, Nack Ballard as an attempt to create a version of BG where
skill plays a larger role than in regular BG. In my opinion,
Nackgammon does exactly that.
In Nackgammon the midpoint and the six point have four checkers each
instead of the usual five, and the two extra pieces are place back on
the opponents two point. This means that two fast 6-5's or a set of
boxes still leaves plenty of contact.
Every opening roll must be rethought in Nackgammon, and there are no
books to rely on. So creativity and strategy are even more important
than in BG.

True, nackgammon requires more skills than backgammon, it's a very different
game. Which is why I don't understand that GamesGrid have only 1 ratinglist -
there should be one list for each available game there.

It's also hard not to wonder if Nack is getting royalties from this
I sure hope so
