HP Calculator Watch

Ok I have just acquired a HP calculator watch model I.
I have a few questions.

1) How do you set the time?
2) How do you use the calculator?
I can put the numbers in but when I press an operation button, the
display just flashes.
3) About how much is it worth, there is only one small scratch on the face and
the rest of the watch is perfect.

Does anyone have any information on a HP model 1 calculator watch, like;
1) How to set the time.
2) How to set the alarm and turn it on.
3) How to use the calculator without making the display just flash on and off.
4) Also what was the retail value of this watch when it first came out.

Any information or any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Enter the time, using the colon (:) separator.
Press the delta ("^", triangle) button, then press the Time ("T") button.

To unset: A ^ A

You are making some sort of error, unless the watch is defective.
Try:
C 2 + 2 =

$695 for the stainless, $795 for the gold. Reportedly, about 50,000 were
made. Half were sold to some Saudi prince, one quarter went into retail
markets and the rest were sold to employees in late 1978 at a clearance
price of $180.

Supposedly, an 01A in perfect condition, including all accessories (esp the
wrist band stylus and ball point pen w/stylus), box, documentation, etc., is
worth over $1000 today. An average 01A will barely fetch the original list
price.

In lieu of finding an owner's manual (00001-90001), the December 1977 issue
of the Hewlett-Packard Journal has a long article on the watch, including
most operations. Many technical libraries will have a copy. You might try
HP's Support Materials Operation in Roseville and see if they can still get
you a xerox of the manual.

Keep the watch. It is a classic. Note that $695 in 1977 is roughly
equivalent to $1400 today.
