I've had an action packed 2 weeks. Finals. Moving. And this week I worked
a nice 60 hours. The brunt of all this is that I missed AAA last weekend
(aaaawww :) and that this weeks report will be fairly short, and is bound
to have a number of errors. Oh well.

Flames, corrections, asides, praise sent to:

Triple A Lucha Libre --- 6/27/93

First Match -- Faces in three falls
===========
Rudos: Jerry Estradita, Two Midgets in Masks
Technicos: Mascarita Sagrada, Octagonito, Misteriosita (all masked)

Well, the names might be a little mispelled, but we all know who they are.
That's right: midgets. Take a gimmick that you like, and get the costume
in kids size. Between them and the "Jr's", they sure can run a gimmick into
the ground ;)

Anyways, one of the midgets was the guy in the green mask, looks like he has
a black mop for hair. He's pretty good; I just let the name slip me.

1st caida: Mop head with a tilt-a-whirl power slam on Mascarita Sagrada.
Rudos put the boots on Sagrada outside the ring after the fall.

2nd caida: Mascarita does the only truly interesting stuff in this match, and
most of it in this fall. He is pretty small. He had to climb
to the second turnbuckle to do a flying head scissors on Estrada.
(Estrada is a tall midget though) Fall ends with Sagrada doing
moonsault on Greenie. Midgets brawl through ringside after
fall.

3rd caida: Fall ends when unknown rudo kicks Misteriso in the "un foul"
region.

* 1/2 (* 1/4 for Mascarita Sagrada)

Second Match -- Rudos in three falls
============
Rudos: Rambo(?), two other guys (all go-teed ;)
Technios: Winners, Volador, Misteriso (all masked)

Didn't recognise two rudos. One guy was pale and wore white trunks. One
guy was tanner and wore black and white tights resembling Bret Harts.
Anyways...

1st caida: All three technicos had really nice moves to end the fall.
Volador leapt over Misteriso, landed on the tope rope (_not_ the
turnbuckle!) and flipped back into a moonsault for the pin.
Misteriso got the pale guy in a crucifix submission hold, and
Winners hit a top rope plancha, followed by a smooth Franken-
steiner.

2nd caida: This fall wasn't too good, primarily because the rudos were in
control. Fall ends with top rope plancha on Misteriso.

3rd caida: Quick fall. Misteriso with tope, but inside ring Rambo clobbers
Volador with big clothesline followed by back splash.

Ratings
=======
Technico: Mascarita Sagrada (never seen a midget on the list in a category
other than "midget". Go figure)
Rudo: El Satanico
La Pareja: Misteriso and Volador
Trio: Diamante, Zafiro, and Brillante
Relevante: Villalobos gets beat down 5 on 1 when her partners turned on her
after a match with Monsther and Co. This has been brewing for
weeks.

Third Match - Faces in two falls
===========
Rudos: Wendy, Pantera Surena, and Monsther
Technicos: Shitara, Lola Gonzales, Martha Villalobos

Well, it's Martha versus her arch-enemy Monsther and her two ex-partners.
This match garnered about 1/10th of a star for work, but the heat was pretty
good obviously. The only thing I really liked was seeing Villalobos get
beat down :)

1st caida: Starts off normal enough. Villalobos enters the ring and get
worked over by rudos. Villalobos tries a few times to tag,
but partners aren't having any of it. I thought this strange
since they backed her up through out the rest of the match.
Oh, rudos DQ'ed for excessive stomping while Villalobos was
in submission hold.

2nd caida: Oh, there was some funny parts too. Wendy and Pantera hit
Monsther a number of times when they failed to hit the dodging
Villalobos. They both kiss Monsther's hand to show they were
sorry. Kinda funny. Gonzales with double underhook superplex
on Pantera for pin.

*

Fourth match - Faces in three falls
============
Rudos: Angel Blanca Jr., Phantasma, Blue Panther (all masked)
Technicos: Solatario Jr., Tinieblas Jr., Lizmark Jr. (all masked)

1st caida: Starts with lots of decent mat wrestling by Blue Panther. Fall
ends with El Phantasma pinning Tinieblas after top rope drop
kick, Blanca with top rope plancha on Solatario, and Panther
tilt-a-whirls Lizmark, and holds him on his knee for neat back
breaker submission.

2nd caida: This fall was just kinda there. Lizmark with the moonsault.
Technicos were working on the "row boat" submission where you
spread the victims legs and rock 'em, while you slam their
partner in the middle of the mess for good measure. Solatario
does a really crappy looking Frankensteiner where he has
already hit the mat before his opponent has a chance to flip.

3rd caida: Rudos control ring. Pather holds Solatario while other rudos
charge for double clothesline. Solatario ducks, and rudos
level Blue Panther. He gets mad an leave the ringside area.
Solatario gets the pin with another pitiful looking F-steiner.

** 1/2

Fifth match - Rudos in three falls
===========
Rudos: Mascara Sagrada, Lizmark, Octagon
Technicos: La Parka, Jerry Estrada, El Satanico

This was a really good match. It made up for the rest of (relativly) lack-
luster show. The ending, while it didn't effect my rating, really took
away from the match.

1st caida: Lots of 3 way brawling. Much heat between Octagon and Satanico
and Lizmark and Estrada (obviously). Lizmark tears into
Estrada and tosses him 3 rows deep into crowd. Parka leap
frogs over the top rope and lands feet first on arena floor.
Fall ends with Octagon pinning Parka with a crucifix after a
missed splash. For good measure, Lizmark hits Satanico with
a frankensteiner. He then "hops" him around the ring. You
have to see it to understand it.

2nd caida: More brawling. Satanico ties Octagons head band to top rope.
Rudos work him over, while chopping refs hand to keep him from
freeing Octagon. Later in fall Octagon's mask is unlaced and
ripped down middle. Didn't get a real good look, but he didn't
exactly _look_ Asian to me. Not that it really matter. Just
wondered if AAA was pulling a Paul Diamond. Lizmark submits
_real_ quick to Estrada's octopus/armbar hold.

3rd caida: Just a quickie. Octagon does a crotch body block (you know,
the Rougeau's old finisher) to Satanico from apron. Parka
does a wild sommersault tope to Sagrada. While refs are
distracted, Estrada kicks Lizmark _hard_ in the jewels for
the three count. Lizmark is selling the move for several
minutes. Ouchie.

Could someone fill me in on what a tope and a plancha are? Thanks.

Espectrito.

Estrado is a teenager of normal proportions. :)

Hmm. They used to have a SuperMiniEstrella category; I guess the big guys
aren't too good these days. :)

Wait. You've got rudos and technicos mixed up here.

Just keepin' things honest, El Gato Montini style. :)
