--From Aug 86 SIGPLAN Notices:
ANSI CBEMA announces new project to develop ANSI Standard Common Lisp by new
comittee X3J13. Scope to be essentially same as Steele book. "Because of
the nature of the language and its implementations, the distinctions between
implemented language features, predefined system functionality, and user
definde supplementary facilities are not the same as in other language;
but there will still be some issues to resolve about the size of the
language, possible subsets and supersets, and implementors' options."

First meeting in Washington DC Sep 23-24, 1986. All interested parties
urged to join X3J13. Details from Robert F. Mathis, 703-425-5923.
