Due to time and bandwidth constraints, considering that there are now
many Cypherpunk and Mixmaster remailers with much faster connectivity
than squirrel.owl.de, I'm going to shut down the Squirrel remailer on
June 1st. Please adjust your reply blocks and remove Squirrel from
your stats.

I'm following the Mixminion development at http://mixminion.net/ and
will launch a type III remailer after the next Mixminion release, so
squirrel.owl.de will continue to provide anonymity services.

This is sad news. Squirrel has been a long-lasting and
much-appreciated member of the remailing community.
Besides, I liked the colorful name. :-)

This could not come at a worse time, than with
links being broken all over the place; now we're
practically down to to a handful of exit remailers
allowing customizable "From" headers: Frog,
Dingo, Hastio, Frell (I realize that Cheshire's
still there but now many *.Cheshire links are
now broken. :-( ). I hope that Holodeck resumes
non-middleman status sometime in the future.

I hope to see you again soon. Thanks for the
excellent past services. You don't know how appreciated
you were.

cheshire is practically unusable because of the admin's blocking
policies.

The type I/II remailer at m...@squirrel.owl.de will go down on June 1st
due to time and bandwidth constraints. Please adjust your reply blocks
and remove Squirrel from your stats. I'll set up a Mixminion type III
remailer once it has reached the same level of anonymity as Mixmaster,
