NO responses to this? I'm surprised, since Mitchell comes from the L.A.
area and has been teaching at a Catalina weekend in the summers. I guess
to Californians, L.A. and the Bay Area seems worlds apart.

I've been to a couple of workshops -- suffice it to say that since then
I have bought all the Steven Mitchell video tapes I could find.
: personable and very likable. His dancing is on another plane. IMHO, he is
: among the top three male Lindy dancers on the planet. And yes, I have seen
: Ryan Francois, Simon Selmon, Rob Van Haaren, and Frankie Manning dance.
I'd have to agree with you about putting him in the top three. I would
also be very interested to hear who you would put as the other two!
Personally, the three male Lindy dancers I most like to watch are,
in no particular order, Steven Mitchell, Ryan Francois and David Dalmo
(who I hear won the World Lindy Competition in Norway this summer).
As for the female Lindy dancers, I haven't seen as many of them dance
(I guess because it seems the men are more likely to come to Europe to
teach), but I'd probably think of Louise Thwaite, Ewa W Staremo and Sing Lim.
But I've never seen Margaret Batuichok (sp?) and only briefly seen Erin
Stevens or Jann Olsen or . . .
Anyone else care to list the Lindy dancers they most like to watch?
Or favourite Lindy teachers as opposed to dancers (Eddie & Eva from TRHS,
Frankie, Steven Mitchell for me)? It might be useful to know who to look
out for if they come to Europe for Lindy events.

You mean there's more than the one or two put out by ARBSP?
>Anyone else care to list the Lindy dancers they most like to watch?
I don't like watching Lindy so much as I enjoy dancing it. I enjoy
watching the best Lindy dancers in the world, but not so much "social"
Lindy dancers. Most other dance forms I enjoy watching on the social
dance floor.

Does anyone have a phone # or address handy for ordering these video
tapes? Thanks
Susan
There are a few done in Seattle. You can Call Guy Cardini at
(206) 784 7398 for a video of Stephen and W, and or you could call
Keith Huges (misspelt last name) from Hi De Ho at (206) 547 5352.
I'm not sure who Stephen is dancing with in Hi De Ho's video, but
with Stephen It can't be all bad...:-)
Hope this helps...
